Facts: Lisa Wedell (aka Renatus reclaimed woods) took payment for wood in the amount of $9096, this included shipping costs on June 25th, 2019 with the promise the goods would be shipped within 2 weeks. After months of repeated requests for the goods to be shipped I ultimately requested a refund on 8/23/2019. She’s stated she doesn’t have the money to refund and has now repeatedly failed to provide a refund in the timeline she’s stated.
I am here to warn the public to AVOID doing business with Lisa Wedell and Renatus Reclaimed Wood. My experience in dealing with this business is that they do not communicate. I had to ask repeatedly after weeks of no communications why the goods hadn’t shipped. This occurred over and over.
It has been the exact same experience in attempting to get a refund. As near as I can tell she gives untrue excuses for her ineptitude, and has never made any effort to either ship the goods or issue a refund. As of today (12/4/2019) owes me more than $9000 that she has been withholding for a refund for months.
I will likely have to reclaim my funds by court order and disposal of what ever I can take possession of.
I hate to make a complaint about Lisa Wedell because I know it will drive her to tears. But she adds a lot of drama to everything and is unprofessional. She is a good person. But a person who you might think twice about doing business with unless you can put up with her drama. And she seems to be able to make huge conflict over tiny things. If everything goes as planned, all is well. But if there is one small problem, her drama will make it a huge problem when it didn't have to be a huge problem if she could learn how to handle the small things well. And as far as being unprofessional, it's hard to explain. If you ask her to do a business task, she will give you personal excuses why she can't do what you asked -- why her business can't do it for reasons that are really personal excuses -- like I care about her business inner workings. And she does business things in ways I would never expect a business to do because it's just not business-like. I think she is talented but it's just not worth the headache. I wouldn't say don't do business with her. Try it one time maybe but be careful if you don't like a lot of drama.
