Remona Jabar, and those affiliated with her operate under many different company names and websites. But the scam is always the same. Ripping off Property Investors through false information on properties she is selling. And many times collecting rental income that belongs to the New Investors that she sold the property to, or collecting money from the Investor for repairs that are never done.
Remona typically markets the properties she sells to over-seas investors. Stating the properties are “Newly Rehabbed” and Tenanted. We have found multiple properties that Remona sold in this manner that were not Rehabbed, and never tenanted. Mainly in the Greater Detroit area, though we have found proof of some in Florida and Georgia as well. Through contact with the new property owners, county/city offices, and utility company records, we have been able to show that not only were some of the properties never tenanted, but also never worked on at all. Remona simply bought ran down properties and used fake photos to sell the properties to over seas investors. Not only does Remona mis-represent the properties to the Buyers, she also is selling these properties at Highly inflated Prices over their actual values. Most of the time Remona deeds the property under one of her LLC's, then represents the property for sale under another of her LLC's. Never informing the buyer that she herself is in fact the owner.
In April of 2015, after much research, we filed Complaints with the Attorney General Offices in multiple states. We had been made aware by other victims that Remona Jabar was operating in the same manner in these other states. We included in these Complaints the names of all of Remona's known LLC's, as follows:
