Beware of this company! I encourage both tenants and landlords to steer clear of this firm. I made the mistake of renting a home in Johns Creek through this company earlier this year. I dutifully paid my rent on time for 10 months in a row. I paid my December rent electronically on November 30th. I noticed that the funds had still not been withdrawn as of December 12th so I contacted Kristina G. at Relocation Realty to express my concern. She told me not to worry and to contact her if the rent was not withdrawn by 12/18. On the the morning of 12/18, I was told that my payment was refused by my bank and that I must pay a whopping 20% penalty within 48 hours or I would be evicted. I made a simple error when I typed in my routing number on their electronic portal. That was my mistake. I proactively reached out to them to express my concern about the rent not being withdrawn and was given assurances that it was "fine". I tried to resubmit my rent electronically when I was made aware of the error, but Relocation Realty refused to accept it. I was told by Linda, Relocation Realty's reclusive CEO, that she understood it was a simple mistake, but she can't make any exceptions because they are under "federal scrutiny". Sounds ominous. Any way, I contacted a lawyer and I will have to pay her a $400 retainer if I want to fight the penalty. She feels I have a very good case because 1.) I paid my rent on time every month, 2.) the funds for my rent were in my account and 3.) I proactively reached out to Relocation Realty to express my concerns, but I have decided to simply pay the penalty rather than risk wasting more money. I expressed my dismay about the unfairness of the penalty and Kristina G. sarcastically wished me "happy holidays". In her email signature it says "Our customers are our biggest asset". Single worst customer experience of my life. Don't take the chance by dealing with these vampires.
