Failed to deliver services as promised; My company paid for ads that were never printed or delivered.

MY COMPANY paid $2,495 for one year of printed receipt coupons from RTN(Register Tape Network, a subsidiary of Shopper Local) to a specific Dollar General location in Georgia. Sales Rep promised up to 1,000,000 impressions (but RTN calls them "imprints") on the back of Dollar General receipts during a 1-yr contract. It was $200/mo starting 8/8/2016. We had to pay for the last three months up front, and a $95 setup fee for a grand total of $2,495.00 and we were promised to receive over 250,000 impressions(they would run the coupon-receipt tape for a full year). I personally live less than 2 miles from that Dollar General, and I shop there regularly. In the last 4 months, our tape has not been printed(& I have receipt proof). I have called three times only for someone to tell me that someone will call me back after talking the manager at Dollar Gen and make sure the tape is being used. Each time they say it is printing now, I go by THE SAME DAY, and they are not being printed. Then I resorted to emailing them(Sujeet J. [email protected]).

Again, the same response that the tape is being used, only to ride by the same day and see that I am being lied to. Then in the email, they claim that I have never called to complain about the service before, which tells me they do their best to avoid documenting complaints.

They charged our credit card every month. They are rude on the phone to paying customers. I've asked them twice this week to return my call once the issue is resolved and they continue to ignore my complaint. I asked for a manager to review my account and consider issuing us back credit. They will not return my calls now.

I filed with the BBB, only to receive baseless, worthless responses that shift the blame to me. We are, by contract, supposed to be getting our receipts printed through July. Already in January we were not seeing any "imprints", ever. Then they explain that they don't know how often the tape runs because they already ran out of tape, which is perfectly fine according to the RTN.

If the company allots a certain number of rolls, that needs to be explained up front. But 6 months into out agreement, they were already failing to perform/print our ads. Now on the back end of the contract, they are not delivering as promised, but that is okay because they "resolved all complaints". Thats not even remotely true, but that is what they claim; they are excellent at shirking responsibility.

As everyone can see, I STILL HAVE A COMPLAINT AND MY GD RECEIPTS STILL AREN'T PRINTING.

When they would finally respond, they would tell me that their "installation team" verified with the manager that the tapes were running. On the days they sent emails saying the tapes were printing, I would go by and confirm that our ads weren't printing my d**n self. Yet they would argue with me, standing inside the store holding the blank receipt, and tell me that the tapes were running.

They still have shown no proof that the ad ever originally ran; They are still claiming the ads are running now, which I can prove that they are not; They still won't give an answer as to how many rolls/imprints $2,495 buys; They do not ensure ANY level of customer service; They are impolite and do not return phone calls; They lie about contacting staff and "Installation Teams" making sure that the tape runs; They will bold-face lie and tell you that your tape is printing, even though they have made no effort to ensure this is happening.

On the same day RTN said the problem was solved and the tape is running, IT WAS NOT.

Bottom line, this company offers a scam service and their employees are rude; and they call their customers liars when we complain about getting no services.

I was approached by the representative before my business was built. I explained that we were going through zoning and city permitting and that I would not be able to advertise until I was sure that my business could be built on that site. Two weeks later, we were informed that building on that site would not be possible so I called RTN to let them know that I would need a refund.

After a long conversation with Jomayne, she let me know that they were reputable and would indeed refund my $2,795.00 dollars for advertising that I could not use. She said it would take 8 weeks to refund, but the company would honor it.

Its now been 12 weeks, and I was informed today that they were not going to refund my funds as promised. I have turned over the case to my attorney and am prepaired to let everyone know that this is not a company to do business with.
