I was seen in the ER twice for a ringing in my ears after a car accident. The ER doctors could not have cared less about my case and eventually threw their hands up saying, "everything looks fine to us!" I followed up with my PCP who took all of 10 seconds to conclude that I had a huge puncture in my tympanic membrane. The hospital "missed" this (twice?!!) and instead charged me for a series of elaborate tests. When I tried to call and discuss, I was unable to get in touch with anybody at the hospital. I have left multiple messages over the past 1 year, but nobody seems to monitor the voicemail box at "patient relations" and nobody is ever there to answer the call. I have filed a report with the CA department of health and urge you to do the same if you've also been screwed by these swindlers. They took advantage of me while I was concussed... they won't do this again!
