I am filing this report on behalf of my 91 year old mother-in-law Carolina Mini, who does not write english or speak it well.
Carolina had Redwood Dental produce her a set of dentures and a cost of several thousand dollars. Initially the dentures worked very well for her. They were comforatable and fit very well. However some time after she received the dentures he dentist, Dr. Bartolovic (who is no longer with Redwood) insisted that she had to have the dentures re-lined. He gave no reason for this other than it was necessary. This cost Carolina an additional 1000 dollars. after the re-lining the dentures fit very poorly and caused severe blistering and raw spots in her mouth. this has made it impossible for her to eat properly so she exists on soups and liquid supplemnts. She returned to Redwood multiple times for what they called adjustments...but they did not improve her condition.
Finally tthey agreed to do another re-lining at no cost to her. This new re-lining made the dentures even worse then before. She verbally demanded that Redwood either refund her money or start from the beginning and produce a new set of dentures. She was very rudely treated by Redwood and they told her she needed to write a letter to the administrative staff for them to review the complaint. As her son-in-law, i wrote the letter and waited for an answer...a three week period went by during which our efforts to to find out the status were met with one snow job after the other. We were told that a registered letter had been mailed withe information, but it never arrived.
The tracing number was bogus and we spent many hours trying to locate this letter. finally after I asked to pick up a copy of the letter at Barbara Boudreau office, the letter magically appeared at the Schoenherr office and Carolina was able to pick it up. The letter offered her no help what-so-ever and basically says that Redwood no longer wants to have a relationship with her. They admit to no wrong doing and just say tough luck lady. Carolina still does not have dentures that fit properly but we have now found another dental office to start the process anew. Carolina is a 91 year old widow surviving on a small social security payment and could certainly use the money Redwood took from her
