In 2017 my husband bought the plan and now after paying 3511.00 they wont ok work car has been in shop for almost a month now shop sent documents to them they say they didnt get so i scanned them and sent them after I got them for the shop now that wasn't good enough you say you will send a claim adjuster to the shop he comes tell the shop he got all the information he needs. then he emails me back to tell me the "will pay for the coolant pump but needs more diag in the oxygen sensor other than reading the codes as well as the transmission fault code for the speed sensor".Then he talks about moving it to another shop a BMW shop which makes no sense the tech at the shop is BMW certified. and we are still waiting.

I bought a Mustang last year and bought the auto warrranty. I bought the top warranty. I have only used the road side assistance until today. I took my car to the dealer because my wipers were doing their own thing (turn on, go fast ,slow, squirt fluid, etc) but they will not turn off. The claim was demied because my mechanic should have found the problem a year ago when i bought the car. Nevermind I have been driving it for a year. The adujuster told me to take it back to my mechanic and tell him it was his fault. So now I am paying Ford 860 dollars to have windhsield wipers because my mechanic didn't know the motor and wiper switch was going out last July. Even though I have used them for a year

Avoid at all cost. Took my car in 5 months after purchasing for an air conditioning issue and found it was a broken wire between the AC pressure switch and control unit. Declined saying electrical was not covered. During that time my dealer did a pre-check found my lower and upper control arm bushings were torn.

RedShield denied. They claimed it was preexisting even though my Premium Plan clearly stated it was covered and I had no waiting period in my contract. When I finally got through to an agent, they also confirmed it would normally be covered. When I explained the rear control units were deemed fine but would eventually need replacing they said they would have to be considered "total failure" to be covered.

When asked what that meant they couldn't explain or verify if "torn" was a total failure or not. I am now figuring out how to litigate but wanted to voice my displeasure in as many spots as possible. Already submitted to BBB who has 107 complaints on Red Shield.
