On or around 7.3.2023 I called one of the offices of Recology Butte Colusa County Company located here in Oroville California, which I believe one of their offices and/or address of this particular office is : 2720 S. 5th Ave, Oroville 95965, in order to set up a new account start for my Trash/Recycling/Green Waste, and therefore in which conversation over the phone then I chose to select in the end the 32gal trash/64gal recycle and 96gal green waste, which these last two bins are complementary to the 32gal trash price, according with their statements and on-line advertisements. However, the receptionist (female) which helped me set up the account, started with three different prices which appeared to be very dubious and suspicious in my opinion at the time, while listening to her dishonest voice too, and/or behavior, while she could not figured out which price to charge me, so, in the end end I told her that I will like to have the lower gallon of 32, but her prices kept going up more and more. Meaning from $29+ to $33+ and even higher to $38+, which made me stay with the lower capacity considering that she was showing NO shame whatsoever or remorse in any shape or forms based on her unacceptable behavior, and of course disturbing illegal practices in my opinion too, bottom line. Moreover, this disturbing and unbelievable reckless approach, abuse of power, while practicing such dishonest behavior while ripping off any customer/s, let alone overall respect, since none of these particular employees, including the Manager named Marci Walton I believe is her name, would like to be ripped off or scammed, like they appeared to do at this particular location for the overall residents, living in this area, and which we are paying way more than what this particular upper stated mentioned Recology company, is truthfully advertising on-line. Including still do as we speak. Just please imagine anyone of you, that thousands of residents are being scammed and overpaying monthly more money than we should, for these Recology’s services, but at way more inflated prices, while these scammers are disregarding the listed prices that they still have on-line and that this company still advertises and have not been changed yet either. Anyway, after I did more research and looked on-line then I realized that this dishonest Recology company was having a very different prices that were still available and posted for anyone to see. So, I went ahead and called them back in order to get to the bottom of this scam and rip off, and therefore for my surprise after I confronted them with the facts and the evidence of their real prices posted on their own website, then this particular receptionist become even more argumentative, arrogant and cocky, disrespectful and combative over the phone. I tried to explain to her that there was some discrepancy in between these prices, such as the posted prices on-line vs their own comments over the phone, which by law they should honor and obey by these advertised numbers, but then instead of apologizing and rectifying the problem, then she dropped the call, basically hang-up on me. I become even more furious and went straight to their office, upper here mentioned above address, and asked the front desk receptionist (female) to speak with the Manager. She said, let me see if she is here. After few moments the manager named Marci Walton came and she invited me back to her office after I told her that I need to talk to her. We both went back to her office and I explained to her the whole situation. Apparently, she appeared “surprised”, metaphorically speaking of course, and that she will fix the situation immediately, so we went out of her office and then she talked to one of her associate that was next to her office, telling her to adjust the rates, but immediately after that then she said that she will change them back as soon as this difference is going to be fixed by their corporate office, since she stated that this matter it was out of her hands. I was totally shocked to see that she was not much interested into applying the listed or posted prices, since she immediately told me that the prices on-line are old and when they will be changed, then they will increase my “bill” once again too, meaning the prices per bin, etc, as it was falsely applied to me prior to this whole drama to even start. I said fine, if these new prices are of course adjusted correctly on-line too, then I will have no problem paying more, but I want to see them correctly adjusted first, so then, I left the building. For my surprise, from 7.3.2023 to present, meaning 8.4.2023, their on-line listed prices have NOT been changed at all, and the real price for the 32gal bin that comes with 64gal recycling and the 96gal green waste it is THE same $21.40 for RZ3 (Thermalito) area, in which I reside, while this particular price of $21.40 never changed at all after more than 30 days so far, apparently too, but for my surprise, today, I received a bill with a price that is totally inflated and incorrect while being nothing more and nothing else other than a pure scam and a rip off, period and bottom line, in my opinion, since this is Nothing other than “False Advertisement” and of course illegal practices that are prohibited by law no matter how I am locking at. Basically, these scammers from Recology have no shame and no respect for anything and anyone out there, since they do not care apparently, since these disgusting people are still overcharging not only myself, but most likely all the residents in my opinion too, bottom line once again.
