A few weeks ago I received a text message that stated I won a Gucci Handbag for filling out a survey. I followed the link and this company asked for some postage which I was all too happy to send. It was about seven dollars. The purse came about a week later.
It was not a Gucci handbag and it did not look like anything in the photo, but okay seven dollars, no big deal. Today (11-30-19) I see this charge to my checking account for $98.54 from a place called RECHARGESKIN. I had no idea what it was for or who they were so I looked it up on line and gave them a call.
I asked the woman why they took out money from my account, and she said to me that I filled out a survey for the purse and that it was part of the contract. I asked her what contract she was talking about. She told me that when I agreed to receive the purse, I also agreed to them taking money out.
I told her that NOTHING was ever given or shown me in writing except the address to send the postage to and I wanted my money back. She said okay she could give me 50%. I then said "no I want all of it." She said she would give me 75%. I did not agree and told her that if I did not receive all my money back there would be a legal investigation.
She said she would then return the moeny back to my account within 3 days and would send me an email confirmation. We will see what happens, but this is not good. I wonder how many other people they are falsely advertising to using a brand name then steaing their credit card information to take money from them. Somebody stop these people!!
