I was a Rebtel customer since day one. I was happy with the service.
Since they made the change, it is really really really really BAD!!!
No customer service. You cannot add numbers. Even after deleting 8 of my numbers, it still does not allow to add numbers. And now I have 8 numbers less!!!!!!!!!
You would think they would try to mke it easier for me to spend money calling from the US to Europe but no!!! Customer service keeps on answering a copied text. Regardless of what my email says. No phone numbers in the US for customer service.
They keep on wanting you to use their app, but same thing, USELESS!!! I cannot add numbers. I do not want to share my whole contact list.
As soon as I am done with my credit, GOOD BYE REBTEL!!! After all those years, that's the perfect example of a good business going south. At this pace, with no support, no service, I don't think it will last long.
This company provides the international calling service. However, their customer service is beyond terrible. Even when they are at fault still they would not fix it. First of all, there is no way to contact them live. There is no phone number, there is no live chat, the only way you can contact them is via email. They take forever to get back to you and they always come up with a big 'no'. They never ever try to resolve the issue. I think they should come up with the slogan “We are here not to help our clients" that would fit them perfectly!!!!!
When I make a call and party even doesn't answer the phone still my account gets charged. I try to resolve the issue but they never credited my money. Now, recently they were advertising the lower rate to a particular destination so I added the money to take advantage of it. However, when I made call I realized that I was still charged at a higher rate. When I contacted the customer service and ask them they said there is a prom code that needs to be used in order to take advantage of the lower rate. I said I didn't know that and can you please take care of it? They never did. I felt like got robbed by Rebtel. Why they have to be so pathetic?
Is there a worst customer service award? Please give it to Rebtel they highly deserve it!!!!
I used a Rebtel number in Dec, and reached to total strangers. I tried 3 times and got the same results, was charged for these malfunctioned phone calls. I promptly cancelled my Rebtel account, which still had $24 credit left.
My account had two Master Cards in it – one of them was closed/cancelled, one was active/current. Rebtel began charging the current/active card in March, when I made the switch. However, my $24 credit was refunded to my already cancelled credit card, which I had no access to it.
I went back & force with numerous Rebtel reps, they all repeated the same thing – too bad, we can’t help you, you got to work with your “bank,” as shown below:
“Hi Aki,
We love to assist your concerned but it's already beyond our control the best thing you can do is to contact your bank to resolve this matter.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Customer Team”
If you are canceling a Rebtel account, make sure use up all credit – because, if you have multiple credit cards loaded in your account, you have no guarantee they will refund your credit to your most current card. Nobody at Rebtel bothers to check which card is the most recently used – if your refund was sent to your closed/cancelled credit card, all you will get is, “too bad! Good luck with your ‘bank’!!!” from their friendly customer reps. Ugh!
