I received an email under the guise of Amazon to fill out short survey in exchange for a free offer of two cosmetic products - Reawaken eye cream and Neuphoric Face Serum. All that was required was shipping charge. First they charged for expedited shipping which I did not authorized, I contacted and they did refund.
In one month's time, I received another shipment of same product which i did not order. Upon checking my financial statement, I had been charged an exorbitant amount for the products - $88.62 and $89.84. I contacted the companies as the packing slip only had toll free numbers for both products and demanded my account be credited and no further items to be shipped. They assured me I would be refunded and no longer receive items. We will see in 3-5 business days if that is the case.
Apparently if you agree to the offer of only paying shipping fees for "free" offer, they take it upon themselves to "subscribe" you to receive regular shipments of these items. In no way did I agree to these terms.
Also, the products - I used only once and my skin was so dry at the end of the day I have never put on my skin again.
Beware of these so called companies hiding behind the name of a reputable company to get your attention. Only because they made it appear that it was thru Amazon did I even look at this offer.
Be very careful of their offer for free products. A credit card must be left, for nominal shipping charges. However, this is far from free. For some reason, the free porduct is then charged at exorbitant rates, due to a free trial ending in 2 weeks. I am not sure how this could even be advertised as a free trial, if the free product is than billed in full, but this is their stated reason for charge of this fre product. To make matters worse, it triggers a monthly recurring fee if not cancelled within their preset trial period.
It is hard to tell who this company is & where they are located. They have many product offers. Reawaken was the one I chose. Their offer was sent as email blast, disguised as Amazon. They are certainly not Amazon, but it is hard to tell in the beginning. Be areful of any offers for free product for a short Amazon survey. It is very difficult to get out of this web-site once you leave your credit card. I have to shut down my computer.
I was completing a form for my work and this ad popped-up (I thought it was something my work had negotiated) for a free sample of eye creme. I said yes and now they have billed me $90 twice for two shipments and I never agreed to anything but a sample. I will call them tomorrow but this is misleading. Their website is a .org which is supposed to be for non-profits. Also, there is no other information about thier address or anything ont he website. Beware! I hope I can get my money back!
