This company is a total ripoff. They have solicitors that contact you about saving your home or negotiating terms with class action lawsuit against your mortgage company. They promise you the world with new low terms and some montery return. They charged me with a $5000 retainer. They absolutely blundered the case and absolutley did nothing for me. Beware of this company. They are a total ripoff. DO NOT hire them. If it is too good to be true it isn't.
In February of 2015 I hired Real Estate Law Centers to help me from losing my home. Paid them almost 5000.00 and still list my home. Then they told me they would file a suit against Chase bank and help me that way. Never heard from them since. I called and sent emails,,,many with no response,,now I hear they have closed. I want my money back. We lost everything because of them and Eric Davis and Monica Davis
We are in for closer on our home this law company said they can help us fight it we paid them thousands of dollars and they did nothing .they have all of our personal information bank statements Social Security information pay check info everything about us. We paid with a bank check at first then they took money every month from or bank account.
My family and I were in fear of losing our home to a "Hard Money Lender", HSBC Beneficial. They stated that they were going to have a class action lawsuit open with the lender for being a preditory lender and for over charging their customers with an 8.25% interest rate on their mortgages. We were told that it would only take about 6 months. Needless to say that it took over 3 years, cost us almost $10K and we had stopped paying our mortgage because we couldn't afford the payments. They lost the case the first time and decided that they were going to try and appeal the judges decision which they charged us and additional $50 a month for about a year to still represent us. They finally notified us out of the blue that they had lost the last appeal and wouldn't try the appeal again opening us up to a chance of foreclosure. We tried working with HSBC directly to do a short sale and they wouldn't work with us, when contacting these idiots that were suposidly our lawyers to get their help they basically washed their hands of us. We have since then found a real lawyer that is now working with our finance company to modify our low and interest rate.
Looking for help with my mortgage and they told me they could help quickly had me sign papers and got my checking account info. they took money before paperwork was done. they have done nothing and won't return my money
RELC PC represented to be experts in Lender Law Litigations, stop foreclosures especially predatory lending against WFB & B of A. I had looked up the Rip Off report and reviews but was told that the Senior case manager that those attorneys were no longer with the co. Now new attorneys and better strategies with guranteed results.
Gave them the case and $4000 retainer. Their filing dept. is inefficient. Had to send each document 3 - 5 times. They mixed up my file with some one elses. This wasted 4 months and they did nothing. The Trustee's sale was approaching and then they started Loan Modification. That did not work so they filed a law suit in Alameda County Superior Court when they told me the case would be filed in LA Fed. Court. Even this was filed so late that the TS could not be stopped. They strongly suggested that I file a BK. I had to communicate directly with WFB and had to come up with Aprox. $90,000.00 to cure the default. Their law suit filed was so weak tat it would be thrown out in preliminary satge.
Lost aprox. $4,000 and had to come up with $90,000 to save my property. Now they refuse to refund.
Real Estate law Center pc,Would like to say thier false real estate lawyers. They made promises that we were lead to believe.litigators,
The bank foreclosed on our home. After all was said and done they just told me they counld'nt help me no more.I lost a lot. When I had to move relocate.
In 2013 I was approached by Chad Pratt, an associate (salesman) from Real Estate Law Center, PC. I told him about a$3,000.00 soft audit I had done on my previous lender which said I was a victim of predatory lending. He promised me that RELC could gert me a better loan at a lower rate, get a 30 yr. fixed and restitution for the money I had be cheated out of. After paying a $5,000.00 retainer, they assigned me a lawyer, Sarah Kim, Esq. I could never seem to get a hold of Sarah when I needed. When I did, she couldn't tell me anything but asked me for more documents. I finally sent her the audit I had done. They redieved it and lost it. It was never returned to me.
Anyway, after months of paying them $750.00 a month with no need to worry, this was a win win situation, I started to worry about my mortgage that was getting so far behind. Months would go by with no helpful word from RELC until one day Sarah told me that shse wasn't aware that I was already in a loan modification and they could do nothing to do to help me.
I was irate. They treated me like an idiot, which was what I was for listening to them. When asked what I was supposed to do, then came the bankruptcy subject. They could cover up to $25,000 for me if I filed chapter 13. We did not part on a happy note. I had to hire a bankruptcy lawyer, filed chapter 13 and was told I must pay $530.00 a month in addition to my mortgage or I would loose the house. Well I make sure I pay that $530.00 a month, but I am sole income besides 1 renter and my daughter who can buy food with her EBT card. I have a 5 year old grandson living with me and his world is about to be turned upside down. I have not been able to pay my mortgage for several months now and foreclosure seems immenant. I have nowhere to go and no one to thank but RELC. They act very professional, however, after you have paid the retainer , all this seem to drag out while you're still paying them $750 a month.
Do not use there people. Do not even talk to them, they are poison. They stole my audit and my money. It was the worse year I have been through with the exception of the year ahead.
This company is a RIP OFF I came to them for litigation assistance against my mortgage company. I already had a modification work out in progress obtained through NACA. I made it very clear that I did not need assistance with modification. The company took money and began sending emails stating they successfully helped me with the modification doc's I emailed to them. I corrected them several times asked for a consultation with an Atty.
After the second payment I finally received a call from an atty who agreed nothing could be done for me until the Trial payment plan and permanent modification was offered. We agreed that I should request a refund since they were unable to assist me at this time. She sent and email as well as myself, it has been two months they have made two offers less than 50% of what I gave. I finally received an accounting after asking 4 times, the figures and dates were all wrong, they tried to create frivolous fees that even exceeding the dollar amount I gave them. I am still in the struggle of requesting my monies returned.
Was furloughed and got behind with my house. HFC didn't care and didn't want to work with me. Real Estate Law center said they could help get me a modification with lower interest and payments. Took from Feb 2014 until Oct 2014 and really no results. My mortgage stayed the same. Only thing that was different was that now I had a 4000.00 reinstatement fee that I had to come up with in less then 30 days.
I don't make that much in a month and Real Estate law center knew that. My case went to court but I was never notified of the court date so had no chance to attend. Was told my payments would be 1445 but all I had was 1229 at the time becaues that is what Tala told me was all I needed. HFC held the check for almost 2 weeks. I was under the impression that all was good until I received the check back.
Spent over 7500.00 to save my home and I am no better off. Was told they were getting HFC for unfair lending practices and Fraud That obviously didn't happen.
Complained to the BBB and all I got was phone calls and messages from Tala wanted me to remove it. I don't feel that she had my best interest at heart because one time she complained to me about all the cases she had and didn't have the time to deal with me.
