On 6/25/19 my wife and I called a few local doctors offices to give them a brief synopsis of my medical condition, what prescriptions I needed, & and do verify if they could assist in providing temporary pain medication until I could be referred to a pain management center.
Being a heart patient, needing heart medications for hypertension, and also having open wounds on my calves due to unmanaged venis stasis, and a growth on my ankle, the first to doctors offices we called explained that they most likely would not be able to assist us as they were not pain management and what I needed was beyond what they could handle at their office. I appreciated their honesty.
After a time we were taken to a pre-exam room where vitals are taken. Dr. Charlotte Ebner came in and very rudely asked me why we were there. I began to fill her in a bit to give her the general information, when she turned on her heel while I was in mid sentence and said to the nurse "put him in a room" At that point I said to the nurse "Did I say something wrong?" It seemed as though she was offended in some way.
During our exam with Dr. Charlotte Ebner, she asked me a question regarding previous diagnosis' and medications, to which I responded with I am on lisinopril which is an Ace Inhibitor, and Furosemide which is a loop diuretic. She very curtly advised me that she knew what they were "I know what they are, I went to medical school".
Dr. Ebner did not have on a lab coat nor a name tag, perhaps because she is morbidly obese, I am not sure. I didn't really know her last name at the time, but I did remember that her name was Charlotte. When I called her Charlotte her response was, "My name is not Charlotte, its Dr. Ebner, its not Charlotte, Dr. Ebner".
At this point after her declaration that she went to medical school and demanded to be called Dr. Ebner, it was clear that she has self esteem issues.
My wife and I have been married nearly 40 years, longer than this so called Dr. has been alive. I do not know who she thinks she is but, having a medical degree does not grant you the right to disrespect and sh*t on people.
At no point did my wife nor I disrespect this person, nor did we raise our voice. It was all Dr. Charlotte Ebner. When we raised a valid point she shouted and interrupted us. She would not let us speak. When someone is wrong this is usually the tack they take."Those that have the loudest voice champion the weakest cause"
It is a priviledge for a doctor to see a patient. A patient who puts their faith in a doctor and places their well being in a doctors hands. Dr. Ebner acts as if she is doing the patient a favor for seeing them, almost like you were auditioning to see if qualify for her service.
At the end of our exam when she said she wouldn't wright any prescriptions for my hear meds nor any pain medication to bridge me until I could make arrangements at a pain management center, she shouted out that she spent 41 minutes with us. Well, EXCUSE ME, I thought that was your job.
So I leave the Regan Medical Center after she threw us out in the public lobby having given them my credit card and out $75.00 with no prescriptions, no referrals, & no pain medication. All of which were promised by their staff upon setting up the appointment. (Tell them anything, just get them thru the door and run their credit card)
It is no easy feat for me to go to the doctors office as I am extremely winded all the time, have breathlessness that presents at rest, and am subject to fainting. Being exposed to Dr. Charlotte Ebner who I find to be argumentative, confrontational & immature would be bad enough if she worked at the McDonalds drive thru, however, it is exceptionally abusive and untennable when in a medical setting where one is there seeking help.
The first thing they do at Regan Medical Center is run your credit card because their focus is $$$$ not patient care. You can read all about other similiar complaints regarding Dr. Ebner and disputed charges on Yelp at this address: https://www.yelp.com/biz/reagan-medical-center-lawrenceville
I have written to every office address for Regan Medical Center with details of my visit and have yet to have a return call or email. They clearly could not care less. I am disputing their fraudulent charge on my Visa Card and reporting their violation of the public trust to the Georgia Composite Medical Board at this address:
Because this event involves a transaction and affects the public good I intend to file a complaint with the Georgia Department of Law Consumer Protection Division at this address:
It has been my experience that Regan Medical Hamilton Mill engaged in fraud and theft and it needs to be addressed by the authorities and I intend to bring it to light.
None of this was necessary. It was all generated by Regan Medical and Dr. Charlotte Ebner. Dr. Ebner "Charlotte" it doesn't matter where you went to school, you don't get to abuse patients.... I hope it was worth the $75.00 to you.
The third call I made was to Regan Medical Center, Hamilton Mill Ga. We were told by the nurse at the desk that the Doctor would be able to prescribe heart medications, and although they were not a pain management center they would be able to provide pain medication.
It was this information specifically that we used to decide to make our appointment at Regan Medical Center.
The signs were there, but I guess I was hopeful and didn't see them. Their parking lot was empty. There were no patients in their lobby the entire 2 hours I was there and lights were burned out over their reception area.
