Brandon Schmidt is a scam artist. He is a realtor with Brandon Schmidt REMAX Chay Barrie in Barrie, Ontario. He hired me as a freelancer to help with his marketing ( website, blog ). I've worked with hundreds of businesses, and unfortunately Brandon Schmidt is the epitome of a flake. He had me create a 15 page website and 15 pages of blog and then refused to pay. He made excuse after excuse, despite this being a project that we had been working on for over 2 months. Untrustworthy individual who doesn't deserve anyone's business. For what it's worth, I've also back checked some of his reviews online which are completely fake. His sample work also comes up positive when checked on copyscape, so it looks like he is using automated software to do his job for him. Pathetic.... This is where he works . Beware of this idiot . I would never recommend Brandon Schmidt of REMAX Chay Barrie in Barrie, Ontario. .Absolutely the worst realtor I have met. This man doesn't have any customer service skill . In November 2016, I contacted Brandon Schmidt to schedule a showing for one of his listings . While showing the home to my husband, mother and myself , Brandon Schmidt informed us that the home was purchased for $650K one year earlier and had $70K worth of upgrades. During negotiations to buy the home, our realtor asked Brandon Schmidt to have the sellers provide a list of upgrades.Brandon Schmidt denied ever giving us a dollar amount on the upgrades. Brandon Schmidt also informed our realtor (in writing) that we had contemplated not hiring her. While it is true that my mother had asked Brandon Schmidt if the seller would discount the home if we did not use a realtor, there was absolutely no reason for Brandon Schmidt to repeat that conversation to our realtor other than to cause hostility between us and our realtor.
In summary, I would not recommend working with Brandon Schmidt because I do not believe that he has the seller's or the buyer's best interest in mind. By his actions, Brandon Schmidt created a hostile environment between the seller and us as the buyers. Brandon Schmidt tried to cause hostility between our realtor and us by insinuating (in writing) that we had asked him at our first meeting if there was a financial incentive to not bring a realtor into the picture . I later found out that the sellers did NOT use Brandon Schmidt to assist them in purchasing their next home which speaks volumes
