My Rbox hasn't worked for $ months. There Tech hotline is bogus. I sent Rbox back to owner with additional $25.00 charge. They sent back and still didn't work. After additional calls and texts, I received One return call when I was not home. Since then ,NOTHING,,,,,,, I am sick of Rboxtv. Going back to cable..........

I first seen this demo at a home show in Tampa, FL. I it so excited two weeks later went to the next home show to buy two more. Then a week later they wouldn't work. I took then back to the flea market and exchanged one because misty said I could just factory reset. I then purchased my third one. She gave me her card after she bad mouthed the owners and told me to call her anytime I had an issue. We have had issues every single day. She sends me an email telling me to contact tech support who never calls back. We spend everyday resetting these boxes because they do not work. I will be heading back out this weekend to get my refund.

I am very sorry to see this report. I want to first apologize for the poor service that you received related to our product. After reviewing your comment and further investigation I wanted to inform you that the reason you received a device, or devices, that were malfunctioning was beucase you may have purchased devices from Misty or Marc Michetti (M-N-M Distributions). They are former independent contractors of RBoxTV who sold devices for us in the flea market at Oldsmar and in Hudson. At the beginning of May, Marc and Misty stole 32 devices from RBoxTV as well as mutliple TVs and mobile WiFi devices. Marc was entrusted with RBoxTV software also and we later found that he was purchasing his own devices and using our program then selling them under the table. Unfortunately, we believe you may have purchased one of the stolen or counterfiet devices. Due to the fact that the RBoxTV program is specially written for the devices that we use and have made specially for our company, when he was using our program on a the devices he purchased it caused the program to work for approximately one week. You were not the only customer to experience this. RBoxTV is currently dealing with this legally.

RBoxTV would like to offer you a significant discount on a brand new, true RBoxTV device. We also recommend contacting your credit card company regarding a chargeback if you, in fact, purchased your device(s) through M-N-M Distributions. If you did not purchase your devices through M-N-M Distributions but did purchase true RBoxTV devices we sincerely apologize for the poor service. As stated above, Marc and Misty were conducting false business as RBoxTV in April and May 2016 and would be the reason that you did not receive our, typically, stellar customer service. If you did purchase a true RBoxTV we would like to honor your warranty, if the refund that you stated you were seeking was not honored, by giving you a full update to our latest and greatest program free of charge.

Dissatisfied

I purchase the rboxtv because my son said it was better than his other. The system worked great sometimes was able to watch movies that were playing in the theaters. Problem started after first update couldn't watch the movie that could watch before. Text owner said I needed to update following website, I updated still wouldn't work owner said to update as many times it takes ok still didn't work properly, so said to send system to him with $25 question what the $25 was for said shipping, I had this system less than a year. Owner sent it back it was ok till the next update then same problem went back and forth with owner on text because you can't get through the line again said send it back but I needed to send more money advise why when he just sent it back then said ok just send it. It worked for a little while till the next update to Terrarium TV worst update ever. I followed the website to a tea and poor quality on the movie, don't have many 2017 movies, always uploading during the movie, some movie sound so bad I have to put my TV to 100. I went back and forth with the owner told him maybe my system wasn't good said just do the update. After watching a few movies same problems text the owner advising him that this update was the worst update and all the problems I was having here was his reply " LOL. I'm laughing Cause you can't follow directions. You need to use terrarium tv for movies and tv shows now. Otherwise you will only get shit quality. See if you paid attention to my website or Facebook. You would sound like such an ass." really for a business person to be this nasty maybe its because I'm not the only one who's complaining and he can't take the truth about the system. I text him back stating I did follow his website to a tea but that is what problems I was having. To all you out there I don't know if you're having the same problems with this system, if you are please send your review so others will know before buying. To the owner you're sounding like an ass because you can't back up your system. Would I recommend this system NO.

Went to the Oldsmar Flea Market in the Tampa area and was given a demonstration on a Google Android device that lets you stream movies for free. it worked fine there but when I got the product home it didn't work at all .call the owner several times only to get an answering machine spent $250 on the unit itself. they claim you have a lifetime warranty through them which is bogus. went back to the flea market 5 times to find out they were not there no longer. spoke to the owner twice he told me he was going to replace the Box which he hasn't. it's been 11 months and nothing has been done .I talked to him today and he was so rude and nasty on the phone he told me to go f myself and I got him on recording saying that he steals money from people and moves from place to place so he doesn't get caught .beware of this man he goes from flea market the flea market stealing people's money you could buy these boxes on Amazon 50 dollars and have a better warranty and they work fine. I'm actually going to call the police and put in a report on him.

Rbox TV SCAM DO NOT BUY

Purchased Rbox and keypad about 2 weeks ago at the San Mateo Home Show. The box no longer works. Service tech help does next to nothing to help.

It's a scam

Same problem as everyone else. Stopped working after a week. Tried resetting several times and still got the same result. It didn't work so beware of this box for it is a scam.

I was in florida in jan 2017 and bought this rbox at the home show in sarasota. i told the owner Derek i would need more time for the money back warranty. he said ok because i lived in ohio and would not be home to try it out in the 15 day warranty. he gave me 60 day money back warranty. when i got home neither one worked. i called the tech and he couldn't help me. i told him i wanted my money back. he said the warranty ran out and sent me a copy of the contract i signed and the 60 day warranty was crossed out and 45 days inserted. i still want my money back. he tried to fixed them 2 times he says. i got $385.20 in 2 of them

Not perfect but pretty good

My wife and I purchased a couple of boxes from Derek at a home show in Fort Myers about a year ago. Initial setup and learning how to use the remotes (we got a simple remote and a keyboard remote for each box) was a bit difficult. But each time we started to run into difficulties, we were able to text Derek and he would help us work through the problems. We did have to purchase a higher quality wireless wifi box before we started to get better WiFi signal transmission. And there still are glitches with some channels and programs. We also decided to purchase, set up, and use a Fire stick and a Netflix subscription to supplement what we are able to view with the rbox TV box. (We also decided we only needed one box.) But between the Amazon Fire stick, Netflix subscription and Rbox TV we end up paying far far less than a cable TV subscription. Every once in a while we experience a technical issue, but we are always able to get Derek to help us resolve the issue. I'm pretty good with dealing with technical problems. But overall I am satisfied with the service. I get access to premium channels, Canadian cable television, many local US stations, NFL preseason and Sunday Ticket games, MLB games and much more all for $20 per month. You can't beat that.

Derek joseph is a smooth talking scam artist. Changed name from rboxtv to new cable usa to stay ahead of the thousands of pissed off customers. Don't waste your money.

Unprofessional

I bought my RBox in September. I have had nothing but issues since day one. First one never work properly had to have it replaced. I’ve constantly been dealing with app updates. When I questioned the issue I was still have issues. I was told by the owner Derek, you’re doing the wrong update Dummy!! That’s the way you speak to a customer? That’s your tech support? You have no problem taking my money every month but when I have an issue, you call the customer a dummy. Stay away from them

Scam!

Derek acts all nice at shows to get you to buy. As soon as you complain about the service, he belittles you. I worked side by side with this guy and I have 100% regret. He is not professional, he lies. He’s a pig to say the least. He runs this scam business on his own. He randomly hires people for home shows, that’s it. He doesn’t have as many customers as he claims because he’s burned so many bridges. Save your money!!

Agree scam

I've had the same problem. Box isn't working, they told me send it back, they asked to send tracking info and they would send me a new box. I sent tracking and they have not sent me anything. The owner Derek says he will, and never does. So sad!!!

Rboxtv-Derek is a fraud

Below is the text message I received from Derek today when I ask for my services to be cancelled 7/16/2018. Didn’t even ask for a refund. Just want to return his equipment. I accept the fact we made a BAD purchase. He is NOT professional!! Does not use proper grammar. He is not a nice person when you point out the short comings of this product.

My husband and I have been trying to get this product to work since June. We are consistently told we are not following his instructions. We have watched every video and followed every instruction to the letter. Derek is rude, crude and extremely unprofessional. I only wish we would have investigated the Facebook reviews and this site before we made this purchase. We can only pray that others read reviews and do not fall for this fraudulent service.

No volume

After taking days to get a tv show, I can' get sound volume. Tech support is useless. Owner does not return calls in the time frame he agrees to. I believe this is a good old Florida SCAM

This produce does not work. After 4 days of following the instructions and sittings in front of my tv I finally got a tv show. Them no sound after getting the sound no volume. This company is scam.

Illegal

Buyers beware, nothing is free in life. The claim that because it is not being downloaded makes it legal is BS. You are gaining access to intellectual property that is protected under law. You buy it, you own it including all potential legal problems to follow.

Rbox Scam

Bought a unit at the home show in St Pete sponsored by the Tampa Bay Times. Paid $250 for it. Brought it home, didn't work. Called Derrik and it took ovr four hours for a return text, not a call. He wanted to call me after 9:30PM to talk about the issue.

Returned it the next day at the home show, but he was rude and tried to demean me in front of his audience. I later received vulgar text from him. I forwarded the text to the manager of the show and they said they do not like people like him at their shows. Lets see if they stop the scam artist.

As for Rbox, he claims is 100% legal. I later spoke to an attorney and he said, not. Buyer beware as you might be buying an illegal unit and could be fined for stealing intellectual property.
