His past law enforcement service was crooked. He once told his students that it was OK to plant evidence or falsely accuse someone if you know they committed a different crime but had not been punished for it.

Instead of appearing in court to disprove the accusations, he skipped town like a common criminal after being served his papers. He abandoned his martial arts students in Nebraska. Not exactly the behavior of an innocent person. He literally fled the country and lived like a parasite off of rich retirees in the Canary Islands, then he burned those bridges and ended up back in the U.S. The martial arts credentials listed on his website are partly false. He never formally studied Aikido or Ju-Jitsu from white belt on up. He just tested out of the lower levels and was given a black belt ranking by Lou Angel.
His website claims that he is the "founder of Silverstrand Dojo International A dojo with branches in many different countries.” Not true. He HAD schools in TWO countries--Lanzarote, Spain and Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. He abandoned and/or destroyed his schools from the inside. He has a habit of expelling his best instructors and students until there are no qualified people left to teach. He pays to maintain his silverstranddojo.com website, but no one has updated it since 2013. Probably keeps it up for ego reasons. He’s no doubt pissed off his webmaster. His habit of alienating and demonizing everyone around him is why he’s stuck teaching junior high, after his stellar career teaching "Olympic athletes” internationally.
