I have never written a review before, but I found it imperative to inform anyone considering using Rawhide Creek Outfitters as their guide of ethics as outfitters. This year, 2019 was my third-year hunting with Rick (Owner of Rawhide Creek Outfitters). The first year went well as everyone tagged out on their Antelope. I left this outfitter feeling as though Rick and his wife were more than just guides. They were my friends.
The second year, I came out twice as there were some cancelations and as a friend, I wanted to help them out. This time, not so good. It took ten days before I was able to take my first shot at an elk. There were times I wanted to shoot and felt as though I could have got my elk. But Rick would tell me no. Nevertheless, I booked my third year.
The third year did not go well at all. Rick would assign other hunters to prime locations with his sons. After a few days of this I confronted Rick with this and without hesitation he booted me from the Ranch, would not allow me to pack my own things, and told me not to return. I could not understand how a friend could do this. Just this past year, they asked me to pay for a year of college for their son and I did. The only way I can comprehend this, is they just wanted my money and we were never friends in the first place.
