RapidFax worked fine until they raised their price from $7.95/month to $9.99/month. When that happened I reevaluated whether I really needed a dedicated fax number anymore. I didn't.
Late one night I went to cancel the service and I sent a very simple e-mail to their customer service address with the subject CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. I forgot about it until a month later when I saw the charge on my card again. Then I found the phone number and cancelled it over the phone. In speaking with that person I told them I wanted a rebate for that month that I thought they had already cancelled. That guy refused and just kept giving me reason why he could not do that. If I had to call in the first place why did no one respond to my e-mail?
In a nutshell: DO NOT start doing business with these people because they make it too difficult to stop doing business with them.
RapidFax fax service has been down for at least a week. I have clients calling me asking me why they can't fax their paperwork to me since it's tax planning time.
I called customer service and they confirmed service is down and cannot give a day when it will be back up and running. They also informed me that I should just keep trying the service every day to see if it's working.
When I asked for a credit for the time I did not have service they refused. Even after speaking to a Supervisor, which I waited 20 minutes for I was still unable to get credit for the services they were unable to provide.
The Supervisor told me that they were losing customers and that there was nothing he could do for me. When I told him that wasn't acceptable and that I wanted a refund he told me there was nothing I could do about it.
RapidFax has BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES, horrible customer service and management and is literally STEALING MONEY from paying customers.
(This is not the first time the service has been down either.)
