I was contacted by phone from an individual named Randy from Rapid Loan Pros regarding a loan I had applied for. After we agreed on a loan amount, payment, and interst rate quote, I proceeded to work with a loan adviser James Smith to secure my loan. I was told I needed only to purchase "Rapid Pay" cards equalling the amount of my payment, $270, and to hold this with me in the event I had difficulty making a payment at any time in the future. I discovered 'Rapid Pay" cards were not available readily here in New Mexico, where I live, so was told to purchase "Steam Cards", for the same amount and to send a photo copy of the receipt. I was assured I would not be sending any information, just the receipt showing I had the funds on stand by to make a payment just in case I ran into trouble in the future and couldn't make a payment, to just use the cards then to get through. I was told to be on the phone with them when I purchased the cards, but when I sent the recept, they suddenly wanted the numbers off the cards, which I provided, really needing this loan.
After sending all this inforation to the company, I was told to send an additional $375 for insurance due to my low credit score to get the loan approved. I once again purchased "Steam Cards" in the amount of $390, due to the fact that the increments would not add up properly to the $375 asked for. I sent this information to them, feeling foolish, but despirate to get the loan through, and was assured I'd be very happy in approximately 45 minutes when my loan was successfully deposited into my account.
I was then contacted again by the company, they stated they could not accept an over payment to be applied as their computer system would not accept the overage. I went round and round arguing with them over this over sight on their part to no avail. They insisted to reinburse me once the loan was granted for the overage and that I needed to purchase an additional $370 now for the insurance and was assured my loan would be complete in just an hour. They apologized for me being mislead by the first loan officer and that he hadn't been clear with the details and things would be straightened out and correct. Once again I fell for it thinking they would honor this and my funds with the overage would be in my account.
Approximately half a month had passed with all the arguing and dicussions, they stayed on the line with me as they were supposed to be transferring my funds along with the overages into my account. They came back on the line and informed me that the transfer would not go through as the file was closed due to the long time lapse. They insisted I then pay a "Late Fee" of $400, but then quickly said it was part their mistake and they would cover $200 of this fee.
By this time I was broke, and they to this day refuse to release my loan if I don't pay the $200. The company simply says there are no refunds and that my file will be closed. They have ALL my funds, and are making zero effort to deposit my loan into my account.
