For people like myself who show too much empathy, don't get taken advantage of one Randuel Sandiford. He approached me on the street with a story about being a designer stranded during New York Fashion Week who had much of his stuff taken by a towncar. He gave me estimates of my sizes and showed me pictures of him at the IED designer awards and his Facebook profile to prove he was a real person and a real designer. I suspected I wouldn't be seeing this money again but ultimately I felt bad for him and he didn't seem too shady at the time. I don't suspect that anyone reading this might find themselves in the same situation with him but because he has a fraud online presence I'm putting this out there in the hopes that the next time he tries to google himself to prove himself to another victim, this post will pop up. I'm going to report him on as many fraud websites as I can find and I reported all his fake profiles as well. Again the name is Randuel Sandiford. Here's hoping Google picks this up next time someone searches his name.

He’s still at large

I am just reading this post and in disbelife. I was just a victim of this guys same scam. In 2018 I guess time and drugs caught up to him he didn’t look too bad but his appearance didn’t strike me as a functional person in the industry even after a quick google search n seeing his picture I was in a rush and against my better judgment I gave him a 10.. oddly I’m not even mad just disgusted and disappointed that in these hard times where even working people are struggling in stead of just asking for assistance you burn people’s time with a long drown out story n this fucker ask for big bucks not petty cash like a dollar or two. I pray that 10 turns his life around n I’m just thankful there’s more where that came from. Be careful out there.

This morning he almost got me

Same story on the corner of Troy and Eastern Parkway. Yada yada, fashion week, I'll make you something, yada yada bla. I was negative 57 in the bank and couldn't give him any money but he was nice about it and ran off to find another victim. Don't know why he's pan handling, he'd make a somewhat convincing actor.

Randuel approached me on the middle of the night asking for money for a taxi cab, assuring me that he had to go to TriBeCa. He mentioned that he came from Los Angeles for a fashion show in New York City. When I initially refused to give him money, he acted as any good con-artist: getting pretty nervous, and appearing to be to the point of desperation. I wish I could have had my phone with battery, as during the Google Search all of those scams would appear. I had to cancel my monthly donation to OXFAM as I am already in a very tight college budget. I hope this report helps to the greater good so that empathetic people like me are not taken advantage and that the same money could go to a charity, foundation, or another good cause. Never, ever give money to people on the street! If you are on a monthly payment with your preferred foundation, you are already doing your part. No need to be empathetic on the street.
