I purchased a tnd 730 because i am a truck driver. I paid 500.00 for this thing. It was wonderful until the date and time got messed up. I call customer service and the response was " im so sorry sir but we are not gonna fix that nor do we offer a replacement" so basically i have a 500 dollar paperweight.
Horrible skills, atleast offer to buy it back from me and offer me a new unit. So now im gonna have to purchase a new unit from someone else. Never do business with them.
On August 8, 2018, we purchased an Rand McNally RVND7 GPS. The unit worked fine until the latter part of April 2019. Beginning in early May 2019, I used the Rand McNally software to do diagnostics and repair several times which did not correct the issues (losing the GPS signal, inaccurate routing, and misreporting of vehicle speed.) I called Rand McNally (RM) twice and spoke to Tech Support. After the second failed attempt to fix the issues, RM asked for me to send the unit to their repair facility. We needed the unit for an early June RV trip we had planned.
We would be traveling 1100 miles to an unfamiliar area. As the Tech Support representative told us it would be returned in approximately 10 business days, we decided to postpone our trip two weeks and we returned the unit.. It is now June 14, 2019 and after several calls, I have been told there is no estimate for returning the unit to us.
We are now scheduled to leave on June 19th, 2019 and have non-refundable reservations. We are senior citizens and want our GPS or a replacement. I was told that they cannot keep staff and we have to wait indefinitely for them to get the staff to make the repairs. We want to take our trip and have a GPS with us that we bought and paid for.
I bought a TND80 in December 2016. Not even a month later it quit working. I have sent it back and received a new one around a dozen times in one year. I proceeded to buy the new overdryve8 after my TND80 quit the last time. And it happened again the GPS will not stay charged, constantly turning off and will not charge while the charger is plugged in. I have spent over 1200 dollars on these two products and I believe for that kind of money it should work longer than a month. Beware before you buy these products. They are nice when they do work, but they will stop working when you need them the most. Don't waste your money on these.
Purchased 2 elds for my trucks to be dot compliance. Does not work 3 days with out major log issues. Call support for 2 days and sat on hold for 30 min to an hour till phone hangs up. They are charging me 49.95 for a service they don't provide. Since I purchased product I have had nothing but issue. I'm in $500 now and many days of none compliance dues to Rand Mcnally.
The first time I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau was because I called in to get my first Rand Mcnally GPS sent back and get an upgrade and pay the difference or get my money back. They said all they could do was send me back a new one. They lost my GPS at their company and took them 2 weeks to find it. So they sent me the new GPS. I have been using it for about a month an d then it does the same thing the other one was doing. I call into the company to talk about getting my money back because now I am tired of this product and its means to not work. The employee tells me that they will have their supervisor Pablo give me a call and that he will help. Pablo calls and leaves me a voicemail with the wrong phone number, so then I have to search for him. So about an hour into my digging I FINALLY find him. This man wont let me get a finished sentence in. Pablo tells me that because this is a brand new device it is the way I am charging it and he wants to trouble shoot it. NO I DONT WANT TO TROUBLESHOOT IT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH WITH THIS COMPANY I JUST WANT TO SEND THEM THEIR PRODUCT BACK AND GET MY MONEY. He told me that because the first GPS was paid for and I had problems with that, they did me a favor by sending me a brand new one for free. What kind of mess is that to tell a customer who has been having problems with your device.He said he would have his boss call me August 14th, that is 8 days away and very unacceptable. Pablo also told me that this problem I am having is rare, but on rip off report everyone is having my same problem and my friend I know even had to turn in their GPS because of this problem. I was disrespected by this Pablo man and i am stuck with a product that doesn't work well and I cant even get a refund.
