This company has very unethical practices. I went into the ER unconscious last fall due to a head injury. The hospital gave the third party medical professionals information from when I was 15. This company stated they had an insufficient address and sent me straight to collections for $126. Upon finding the collection filed on my credit report I paid it within 20 minutes. It is not appropriate to send patients to collections without first notifying them that there is a bill, then giving them the opportunity to pay.
They state it is no longer their policy to even inform the customer that has a bill via phone. They will send you straight to collections and even the management is unwilling to rectify their errors. This has been an extremely unpleasant and cruel experience. Helen and Sherry were very cold and unwilling to help. Pamela was awesome, informative, and empathetic.
Corporate supervisor SHerry stated this kind of thing happens all the time, especially with unconcious patients, and that she still was unwilling to remove from collections as error.
