Paid 6500 for new ac unit and warranty. Ac keeps cutting off. Tech came out and wanted to put a new line in at a charge of $400.00. After saying we were not going to pay for the service, the tech, Jeremy threatened my son with violence. Police were called out. Fyi he is the owner's son, when we called the office, they were also rude and did not want to listen to our side of the story.
My air went out in my home and called Radco, he looked at it and said there was a leak somewhere but, it would cost $368 to take it apart and find it, well the leak was not found and suggested that a sealer could be applied and it would go thru the system and most likely solve the problem or I could just purchase a new unit.
This unit is only 8 years old - I opted to do the sealer and of course I was low on freon as well and that was another $300 to put in. Now to add insult to injury THIS FIX lasted for 6 days (you think they wanted me to purchase a new unit ? ).
Called in another company for a second opinion, they took a two second look at the unit and told me that the fan was rotating backwards and also found a bad capacitor, you would think when Radco took apart the unit he would of found that capacitor!!
Last summer this company (serving Hernando and Pasco Counties in Florida) sold us air conditioning parts that we didn't need, did not work, and caused our AC system to break down again the very next day. This necessitated us having to hire a second HVAC contractor to repair the damage caused by Radco. We were overcharged and ripped off!
Don't be fooled by Radco's A+ rating by BBB. They are a longstanding, dues paying member and any complaints against them get summarily dismissed. This outfit is untrustworthy and incompetent.
