This is a scam, a scheme to lease to unsuspective Class A CDL professional drivers old trucks used from the Celedon fleet overpriced fleet long term leasing trucks from the Celedon truck rotation fleet as mis form previous Celedon drivers as a profit motive scheme to drivers looking to become owner operators. Celedon is not informing, Celedon is lying in this leasing of equipment. Run from this scam.
Three CDL Class A drivers left at 4 a.m.to pick up their trucks for a new career at A and S Kinard of York, PA a subsidary of Celedon Trucking of Indianapolis, IN. . Upon arriving at 8 a.m. EST, the 3 drivers noticed the staff to be very impolite, there was no coffee for the perspective lessors after a long Journey to the fleet roatation facility.
The 3 drivers signed in at 8.30 a.m. and went to the driver lounge. At 9 a.m. the 3 drivers left on a Ceedon van after orientation, for the lot where trucks they where they were to lease were. Upon arrival the driers notced their were 20 other drivers in front of them from the previous week days who were staying day to day to get a truck. The list of available trucks was handed out and with 50 drivers running for trucks in all directions, the people who were there previous days got in the new 2016 truck line where they knew ahead of time they would get a new truck. What we did not now or were informed to know was that many many trucks on the lot were old, overpriced, not detatiled, and not working, damaged, prts missing, but we were told the trucks on the list were all DOT ready. Not true. Trucks that were claimed were not marked, I sat for an hour in a truck that was leased an hour before I got to it. The staff did mark the truks sold, leased or any detail on the staus for other drivers not to watse time in searching for a suitable working truck. Trucks I wanted were there that I could not lease, many trucks were dirty, not detailed, not washed, not operating, keys were missing, beds outdside of truck, garbadge all over the yard, no saff around to answer help drivers with questions. The 2 drivers that found trucks I was with, their trucks were not DOT ready, not allowed to leave. But the Celedon staff called the drivers at 3 pm to get them to sign their leases, to lock the drivers in beofre they had a chance to drive the truck. That intent by the Celedon staff was to get payments rolling unprofessioanally and lock the driver into payments without the truck being fixed. There has to be a law to shut Celedon from doing that.
all drivers run, do not waste your time like 3 of us did coming home without any trucks spending 14 hour day without pay being tricked, scammed by Celedon to lease us DOT equipment that to us was junk.
