Quality Appliance Service Reviews
At the referral of my washer's manufacturer, I contacted quality appliance. QAS was quick to tell me there is a charge to show up which would be deducted with the repair. The guy showed up dressed for the office, not to repair a machine.. He pushed some buttons- the same as I had already done and informed him of such, and he then told me what i already knew - it wasn't working. DUH- you think? Then he emailed me a proposal for an 800.00 part on the machine that actually was working. When I contacted Quality appliance - they stated they did not know how to fix the unit - even though they wanted to try to get me to buy something very expensive that the machine did not need.
I feel THIS COMPANY unfairly charged me because they
A. did not do an assessment- he just repeated the same steps as I did.
B. tried to sell me something else the machine did not need
C. admitted they did not know how to fix it but still sent someone and tried to sell me something else.
They tried to sell me something I did not need and I refused. When I pressed them about it, they ADMITTED they were incapable of fixing the machine. Yet, they are refusing to refund my money and I don't agree, because Its not like they COULD fix it but I did not want them to, then the visit charge should apply. But by their own admission, they could not perform the work, so why should I pay anything?
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
Used this company for stove repair. The service tech provided a five-hour window, but still could not show up on time. He failed to bring the right tools for the job, then misdiagnosed the problem and left. Follow up calls were not returned for days. We finally contacted another company to address the real problem, but Quality Appliance Service sent a bill anyway. When I called to dispute it, the rude woman -- Grace -- in their accouting department would not let me get a word in and said she would send the invoice to their collections agency.
I filed a complaint with the Utah Better Business Bureau. I was not the first. The Better Business Bureau gives Quality Appliance Service a greade of "F," which is well-deserved in my opinion.
