I was conned in by a advertising email to serch for a partener on a dating agency in may 2015. I had been separated from my wife in October the previous year and thought it was time to move on. The appeal of meeting somone from a 3rd world country was that i prefer the simple things in life and want someone who knows what it is like to grow up poor but with respect.
I followed all the instructions and got numeros Fan mail on the website almost straight away. I wrote to a number and decide to limit it to about 12 people. Only when I tried to open some of the letters comming back did I realise that i was required to pay to open these letters. Anyway i di complain to the customer service that it says that one can respond for free. But there answer is that it was only for the inital (first) respnse to the fan mail, which actaully costs you bonus points.
Anyway i followed the instructions and narrowed my search down to about 5.
I then once received a phone call from one of these woman and she said that shw was using her agencies telephone to call me. Ithough that is nice of them and assumed that they were paying for the call. Only when i logged on again did i see that i was charged one credt per minute ($6 / min)
I complained about this and said that i had not known that this was the case, but they were not sympathetic and just told me how to block her on my account, which i did.
I then narrowed my search to 2 woman and wanted to get their contact details. To my horror they told me they only allow this once you are in contact with them for 3 months, and once you have entered all your details to get a Qpid seal. After complaining and raving on, i decide to follow the instructions as by now i was in love with one of these woman. I spent a great deal of mone on live chat with her and things progressed nicely iwth her promising to visit me.
Each time the visit date came she made and excuse. First she said she was sorry and would definiltely come by the end of the month. By this time I was aloowed to buy her contact inforamtion which was just a Yandex.ru account. I asked for more info over the email and also requested to her to use only email to communicate as the website had cost me by now $3000.
She worte one email back, with a one liner and one picture attached, but sent me longer letters over the website. She also said that it was to hard for her to visit me, but promised me that one day we would be together, i must just believe.
I have communicated several more times with her over email but get nothing back over this service. But she has sent me 2 more letters over the website which i cannot open as my credits have run out.
So when i noticed all this i decided to try and see what happens if i contacted my 2nd choice. Pretty much the same thing transpired.
So to sum it up. I did everyithing the website required and waited for 3 months to communicate with my love, who then all of a sudden turned cold on me and keeps sending letters over the website, instead of sending it via email, which costs her nothing. I have aslked her to explain to me why she does this but i have not recieved any response.
This website is only their to take your money. it is expensive. But for me the most damaging thing is that they hurt me emotinally as i really fell in love with this woman, and now i am shattered.

I didnt think i could be scammed but i was for the tune of $300. I know i willing paid but i starting getting suspicious when i tried what they call a love call and wohld never go through. recording would say try again and each time lady was not available even though this was a scheduled call that you have to pay for. the part they got me was the connect charge each time i tried. i confronted the individual on the instant messaging which cost about $4 a minute and asked if she worked for the Qpid network response was yes then no more messaging. These people are not real is a scam and need to be put out of business. How can our FTC allow this to continue? By the way the money went overseas to Macaou, China
I was on another similar website where a certain "lady" was rude and sarcastic towards me, which I am very tired of. So as that site has rules whereby a lady could not be registered at the same time on another similar site, I reported that she was on AsiaMe.com so I could get her removed off of that other website. But that "lady" told the other site this, that AsiaMe.com had stolen her info and posted it there without her permission. She convinced the other site because the other site refused to believe my statement that she was on AsiaMe.com, and the other site told me that they was going to try and help her remove her info off of AsiaMe.com, and I have the emails from that site to prove this. So I asked AsiaMe.com if they could give me proof that the certain "lady" was legally and truthfully registered with them, and told them the reason I was asking for this. BUT AsiaMe.com would not give me any proof, and instead kept telling me the same evasive nonsense multiple times, and I was in contact with at least 2 employees there. AsiaMe.com then cut off all my Admirer Mails from ladies there, and when I complained about that, they lied and denied that they did that. They then cut off my ability to purchase any Credits so I could write one certain lady on that site, and I told them that was all I wanted to do, just contact one lady and see if her and I could get together, and I would have been paying not only for the letters, but also a higher priced phone call, but they also lied and said nothing was wrong with the purchasing option, but I know it was stopped. ALL of this nonsense because they refused to give me proof of one lady being legally registered. People who work for the AsiaMe.com website are jerks, and as they will not provide simple proof of the "lady" who made accusations against them of them stealing her info, it looks like they have something to hide and should be invetigated for scamming.
