I was charged $89.73 and $87.00 for two different skin care products that were free except for shipping charges. When I called for a refund, I was refused a refund, being cited that their policy is on their website. I received an email ad I answered, and it was not on that ad. You purchase a home, car, or large ticket item, you learn to read every work on your contract.

The rep Lori (ID# 2043079) said her manager was busy with calls and could not take mine but I could call back. I said I prefer to leave my phone # and have the manager call me back when he was off the phone (Josh). She did not want to bother him. I asked she put me on hold, write him a note, and have him write his response while taking care of the other customer call. Surely, a manger could handle this request. She said he asked me to call in five minutes. I worked in customer service and knew she was just trying to get rid of me. I said I would call back in five minutes.

When I called back, I was routed to a different call center so Josh could not be reached. However, Ken (ID# 910165) said he could refund both charges ($89.73 & $87.00) minus $9.95 restocking fee ($19.90 total). He said I could keep the unused portion of the creams rather than send them back and still be charged the restocking fee. I agreed to these terms because it was a good compromise and about what I would spend for face cream anyway. I ended up paying the initial shipping fees plus the restocking fees.

I guess you need to be persistent. I also reported my interactions with this company to the Better Business Bureau and still have my email confirmations of the original order cancellations.

OMG Same for ME

I was so glad to see I'm not the only one this happened to. I'm trying to get my money back for the so called samples that cost me a total of $176.00.

I tried to talk to the customer service, but she was not anybody I'd want to talk to again. I hope I can get this taken care of and these people are put out of business. I hope Joanna Gaines keeps her remodeling job, cuz she's not going to be very popular after all this gets around!

This place is terrible

I tried a free trial and was not impressed. I have been trying to contact customer service and every number I call I am told that it is the wrong company. Can somebody please give me the number you are using to get the refund and cancel all further items. I am very unimpressed and ready to contact my attorney and the Better Business Bureau. If someone could please help me get rid of this horrible cream and get a refund I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Pure Obsession Skin care

I also fell into the same situation and after speaking with 2 customer service reps and being told they could not provide me with a refund because the trial period was over I finally printed off their terms from their website and called them again. I requested they provide the paragraph and line number that stated there were no refunds. Of course the rep then went to her supervisor and I was offered a 35% discount that they would refund me so I would not need to wait the 30 days it would take to process the full refund for the product (there is a refund process after all). After telling them I could wait the 30 days they upped the discount to 50% which I still did not take (being stubborn now). We finally settled for a 75% discount that would be refunded back to me (which is probably what I would have received anyway after shipping and restocking fees) after being told they would not accept any product I returned to them anyway (oops there went the refund process). All I can say is this was one of the most frustrating experiences with a customer service group I’ve had in long time. Please DO NOT BUY from this company. The terms of the trial period (14 days) are not clearly stated and their customer service sucks.

Stay Away!!!!

Thought I was receiving 2 free samples for the cost of shipping & handling. Did not see any information concerning cancelling order before 14 days.

There were no amounts for cost of product or even an order number on free trial packing slip. Am being charged for the so-called free samples ($87.00 & $89.73). Have also been sent a second shipment for which I will again owe $87.00 & $89.73 because according to rep they did not hear from me.

I did not know that I was suppose to contact them during that period. There were 2 numbers on packing slip received with 2nd order and 2 different numbers on credit card statement. Why so many different numbers?? Asked to return 2nd order - bottles still sealed and was told absolutely no way.

Was told that they couldn't be sure that product hadn't been tampered with. Hello! Bottles are still sealed exactly as they were shipped. If that is their way of thinking - how do I know the bottles were tampered with before they left their facility. Am still planning to call back but am not hopeful. Am reporting this to Better Business Bureau. If this company thinks so highly of its product, it should be willing to treat their customers with a little more respect. Am trying to find rep willing to give me a credit for 2nd order at least. Who else can you call?

Pure Obsession scam

Shark Tank hosts and sponsors should be ashamed of being associated with this scam.

I also requested the Trial products- Pure Obsession Essential Eye Cream (this was OK) and the Instant Lift (hated it), understanding that I would be paying for shipping. NOWHERE did I find anything that said I'd be charged $89.73 and $87.00, respectively, if unsatisfied after trying for 14 days; NOWHERE did the ad indicate what the full price was. The day that I received the next shipment- which I was told by a rep was automatic, since I didn't cancel- I cancelled; but it had already posted to my charge account, and they won't accept return shipment.

I tried to go back to the Trial Offer website to see where the 14 day period was specified, but when I tried to follow the link, it brings me to a trial offer for a new Pure Obsession eye cream product- and I also don't see a 14-day stipulation on that product, either.

So now I have not only paid the full price for the TRIAL shipments, but the full price again for a second shipment. At least I have an email stipulating a cancellation for EACH of the products, but I'll also be contacting my credit card company to make sure there will be no further transactions accepted from this disreputable company.

Class Action Lawsuit

Ladies, I believe I have found an attorney willing to take this on as a class action lawsuit. Don't know about you but I cannot afford to lose this money. I will come back to this site after I speak with the attorney's office and post results.

SCAM and RUDE

I am going through the exact same thing now. I saw a charge of 89.73 on my card and immediately called as I did not know what that charge was for. I spoke with Maurice on 6/16/21017 who told me that I was charged because I did not cancel soon enough. I told him that the first time I used the product that I broke out with a facial rash. He attempted several times to sell me more of the product first for 30% off, then next for 50% off. I told him that it caused a rash and why would I want more. Then he said I had cancelled soon enough and he would credit my card for $89.73. He gave me a cancellation number. That amount was never removed from my card.

On 6/26 I called the 877-497-1835 number again and spoke to John who said I owed an additional $87.00 and that if I didn't pay he would send me to collections. I told him that Maurice had cancelled my account and why. And John said that Maurice had no right to cancel the account. I asked him if I could speak with his Supervisor and he asked why. I told him that I wanted to speak with someone who could give me answers. He said he could and that my problem was that I couldnt listen very well. I asked again to speak with his supervisor and he said there wasn't one there. I spoke VERY firmly and said I wanted to speak to his supervisor and he hung up on me.

So,I called again, this time spoke with John L ( he said he wasn't the same John, but sure sounded like it). He said my account was cancelled, but that since I received the product the company DOES NOT do refunds. I then asked for a number to the main office and he said "there isn't a main office. You are speaking with the office". I asked for an email to the company and he said there wasn't one, but came back and gave me a phony email.

What kind of business is this and WHY is Shark Tank backing this company?

I think its a scam of sorts.

Pure Obsession Review

I was happy to see your comments. I'm currently going thru the same exact thing with their customer service. I just called them again for a second time this month June 22nd. and they didn't even put thru the cancellation I asked for almost 2 weeks ago. I called for an address to your the products and they said there is a no return policy on the trial order. I told them my ad quoted free sample and just pay shipping. They still with this 14 day trial apparently the ad says. Their home page tells you trial but with no day limitations or increased price or charges if not cancelled. This company is a damn outrighted SCAM. I didn't order from their home page. I order from the article Yahoo News did on them being on Shark Tank and it was a free sample. I'm gonna report them to every agency that deals with businesses, consumer affairs and scams. All customer agents are rude cause they know they scamming the public.

Purchase from yahoo article featuring pure obsession on shark tank. Ad said free sample $4.95 for shipping for serum then ad added $5.95 for eye lift crème. There were no mention of trial for 14 days and cancelled or you will be charged becaused every page i was on i checked for those hidden messages cause i don't deal with those type of companies. There were no mention of terms and cancellation nor prices of $87.00 and 89.73. Called after i saw it on my bank statement and asked for it to be removed said it was policy 14 days cancellation. Told them no such thing was on or in my ad when ordered. I asked them to cancel the account. Called back about 10 days later to get a return address since i haven't opened the products they said policy does not allow returns but they can give me a 50% discount on next order. I said i don't want a next order and i cancelled about 2 weeks ago. The rep let me to know that i didn't call otherwise it would be cancelled. The reps argue and are very rude with you. They know they scamming people. Their are no terms in the ads. Liars & scam artists.

Scam by PureObession.

I was responding to an ad by Joanna Gaines of "fixer upper" for a free sample of her new product. It appears PureObsession has hijacked their site. I have contacted our NY Attorney General to investigate & notified my Credit Card company to obtain a credit for me. This company is a scam.

There was an ad for this amazing eye serum lifting product "as seen on Shark Tank." There was a limited number of the product and it was a free trial. All you had to pay was shipping and handling of $4.95. And, there was a flyover, overlay or popup that said "No recurring monthly ordering". I clicked on the button to rush my free trial and was taken to another website or web page. Not seeing anything about cancelation, or billing after so many days, nothing that would have turned me away immediately, and based upon the No recurring monthly ordering, I went ahead and ordered. There was another offer of skin lifting for S & H of $5.95.

I received the product in a mailing envelope. Inside was the product and a paper listing the contents. There was still nothing that indicated future orders, billing, trial period, nothing. I was telling everyone I knew about how great this company was - sending out free trials that were not just squeeze packets, but actual samples.

As I do on a regular basis, I checked my bank account and found $89.73 and $87.00 charged to my account, and my bank had transferred money out of my savings twice to cover these amounts. I immediately contacted the company seeking a refund. They pretty much laughed at me and said that there was no refunds. They argued with me about it and would not shut up long enough to object. I hung up. They called me back however I did not answer as I was too upset.

I immediately filed a fraudulent charge against the two charges, and obtained a new debit card. These sums were reversed back into my account. My bank, Chase, has reversed one of the two charges stating that they obtained proof that I ordered this product. The bank has yet to this day provided me with the proof they used to reverse the charge.

I filed a complaint with the BBB of Northern California as that was the suggested location. The next day I had received a response from the BBB that they had transferred my Complaint to the BBB of New York and against Natura Miracles Inc. This company offered a reduced price for the product, offered to refund my money if I could provide an invoice which I did not have as this was completed online. The company then provided some detailed shipping information that was to convince me that they had sent it based upon an alleged order. Then, this same company denied that I had made a purchase from their company. The BBB has closed the Complaint stating that the company addressed my concerns but that I still was not satisfied. This was a complete waste of time!

I have submitted my bank to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau who has closed the complaint and never did submit their findings, investigations or any other information to me as promised.

At one point there was a receipt that simply said Pure Obsession that showed the amount of $4.95 in my favorites on my browser. I found this accidentally while looking for the web page I had saved. I went to look at that receipt before submitting this Complaint, and it has changed.

While submitting the Complaints above named, I found that each time I opened what I believed to be the same site that started all of this, a different product name would be shown on the initial order page. Today when I opened that page, it was yet another product advertising the same thing.

There are hundreds of women out there who were charged the exact same amounts and have the exact same complaints. After the fact, I went to the Shark Tank website to see this product as seen on t.v., there was no such episode.

This company or the criminals who are using the company, are good. They have either convinced everyone of their legitimacy, or have paid them off.

I am hopeful that someone will take this on as a class action lawsuit against them as I am absolutely positive there will be more than I have found who have been taken by the same group.

Scam. product sucks and marketing is just a way to get your credit card info to send you more product that no one should want or need.

Would be glad to join in a class action suit or do anything else to spread the message of what a scam this is.

please read response to the top complaint. I am going to fight them...

Ladies, I have been through the BBB and got nowhere, I have filed with the CFPB against my bank and got nowhere. I am considering a class action claim against my bank, the company and who or whatever else may be appropriate. If you are interested in pursuing this matter with me, please email me at [email protected]. I am going to go to Top Class Actions and file a Complaint against both the bank and the company. If you will go and file a complaint or express your desire to fight them with me, we may get somewhere.

Thank you,

Scam Alert

This product is a scam. The product is worthless and the Customer service reads a canned script that tells you to read the complete agreement before agreeing and that they will not take returns and they will not refund your money. The whole things leads you to believe that you are getting a free sample for shipping charges when in reality they are getting your credit card # to send you more product about a month later after debiting or charging your credit card.

If anyone knows a method to spread this scam viral please let me know and I will be glad to participate.

scam by pure obsession

I only ordered the supposed free sample. I did not order the eye cream but could not take it off of the order. The email did not give me a phone number or email other information. When I received the order there was nothing explaining the the transaction or phone number to call. The product gave me a rash on my face. A second order to my surprise came this time with a phone number.I called they refused to have the product returned and would not give me there address, supervisors, owner information or money back. Definitely a scam Rate the company 0

I replied to a notice on line for instant eye serum for $1.98. This serum has been on several web sites to demo instant results per shark tank. When the product arrived, there was an additional container which i did not order, an eye cream. When my bank statement arrived there were two charges i did not make. I have connected this to the two items i received from pure obsessions. The charges were, 89.73 and 87.00.

I would like to have these charges removed from my account, and will gladly return the items when someone can give me an address to accomplish that.

Slimy Scam artists....

Similar story as those above, talked to (2) company reps today, Adrianna and another person.....they can cancel future charges but will not

refund......after (13) days if ever....my monies lost listed below.

She said details of 'scam' are on a separate link of original email....never saw it.

Charged $89.73 to 'graceful skin' and $87.00 to 'western skincare'...they are one and the same. you need to cancel immediately or the

charges will continue every month. Will report to BBB for what that is worth.

They need to be shut down.

what a raket...

they never mentioned cost of full product size any where. Got packing slip with no price. they didn't want to refund the sealed items. insisted then they said only 75% for restocking fee. I was so upset by their sleaziness. Is that legal. I do like products and only called to find out prices. i am returning both because of their devious policy.

Not the whole truth!

I too have been receiving this product over a period on several months and what I just found out is you are to call and cancel the free trail within the 14 day trial period; otherwise you will be charged every other month for the product. I am sure I had called earlier to cancel and surprise, surprise no record of the cancellation. I now have the name of who I called and I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau.

  • Aug 28, 2017

All the ads show "order your free pure obsession skincare today" - free. My receipt shows "0" dollars for the product and only pay for shipping...Which i did. My order is dated 5/9/17 and cancellation notice on line is dated 5/23/17. I have wasted many hours trying to get this resolved and the representatives are useless and won't help. The skin care worked for about an hour and then my skin went back to it's original look. I have always paid my bills on time and have never had a problem with my credit and i am 72 years old. I fought this with my credit card company also and they are useless also. I refuse to pay this $176.73 for a useless product and will cancel my credit care if necessary. Don't order from this scam company!!!!

  • Aug 28, 2017

NEVER ORDER FROM THIS CROOKED COMPANY-!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The product only works for an hour and then your skin will look the same as before application. The worse part is not being able to get a refund. No where on my order receipt does it say that I have to cancel within 14 days...only $0.00 for the serum and $4.95 for shipping. However, my receipt shows my order was on May 9, 2017 and my cancellation notice on-line shows 5/23/17. (Within 14 days). I have spent endless hours on the phone with useless representatives and I am still being billed for the original cost of $87. I told them I would refuse to pay and would cancel my credit card due to them. I have never in my entire 72 years of life not paid a bill so this is a first because of this crooked scam!

Rude Customer Service Rep Who Actually Laughed at Me!

I ordered a sample of one of the products. I was sent two item, a second shipment, charged twice and tried to cancel the order. I offered to send back the second shipment and was offered a discount to keep the products and continue using the products. I told them I did not like the products and actually the eye cream inflamed my eyes. Since I told them I did not want to continue the program they withdrew the discount offer. I reminded them that I did not order the second shipment and I wanted to register a complaint with their operations. This is when the customer service rep laughed at me and told me I was under contract, there were no returns and they were an auto ship company. Then she said anyway who did I think I was going to complain to. STAY AWAY!

  • Aug 12, 2017

I had the same lousy experience everyone else did. I am wondering if anyone else had the pop up during the order process that said no recurring monthly orders? I intend to proceed with a class action lawsuit if i can get someone to take the case. I could ssure use some support...

Total Scam by Pure Obsession

There is no such thing a "FREE" sample, the minute you give them your credit card number, you've been had. The worst part is that the customer rep from my Bank of America Visa Card told me that since I had agreed to a "subscription" (which I did not), I could not dispute the charges. He said that my only alternative was to cancel my "subscription" with the merchant.

I finally was able to cancel the subscription with the merchant but they said that the charges were non refundable.

Needless is to say I am fuming, I dislike to be robbed like that.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS FAKE "FREE SAMPLE" SCAM

  • Jul 29, 2017

SCAMMED AGAIN BY PURE OBESSIONS

The investors of "Shark Tank" should be ashamed of themselves. I like others thought "A free trial" meant exactly that but soon found out that a 14 day trial meant they BILL YOU IN 14 DAYS if you don't respond! Well by the time I realized it I had been sent a second shipment and billed another $89.72. WELL.. after complaining loud and long (not very nicely) they claimed I would be credited for the shipments but insisted they were in their legal rights by the terms they offered. I highly recommend everyone avoid this outfit and write protests to "Shark Tank". What a bunch of fools they think we are! Never again!

So I called Citi bank and they reversed them and then I got notice that it was permanent after they checked into this. So call your bank.

contact information

I too fell for this scam and had to jump through hoops to find some sort of contact information. By the grace of God, my credit card company had the company names and contact information. The first one is called GR Etta and their phone # is 877-6349724. The second one is called Cedar west skin care and their phone# is 877-484-8394. I suggest calling both numbers in order to cover all your bases but they did admit they were under the pure obsession label and I was able to get them to close my account and stop sending me the product. When you first call you will get music at first but after a few minutes a rep will answer and you can get the problem resolved. Hope this helps someone out there.
