Do NOT purchase anything with this company

I purchased a vacation package in Dec 2018. They have vague and poor instructions on how to activate the package, and then, by the time I realized that I had no access to the vacation platform (when I went to book a trip), the window to cancel has already passed. I have been making my monthly payments consistently since Dec 2018 without any benefits or access to the package. They sent out reactivation codes that do not work. You call them, and they do not respond or they talk to you briefly on the phone, put you on hold, and then hang up. Clearly a scam. Please do NOT fall for their lies. They have poor customer service, professionalism, and product.

Upon refusing to purchase the timeshare that was offered to us, we were directed to another room and given another offer. We were promised NUMEROUS times that we would have. 10 weeks in Cancun as well as 50 CORPORATE weeks available to use at 5-star OR BETTER locations around the world for a rate of $399 or less. This is even stated in plain words in the contract that we signed, with this paragraph highlighted. We were ADDITIONALLY promised to be given a two year membership to ICE Rewards as an additional bonus. This is also clearly stated in the contract: as an ADDITIONAL bonus, not as the 50 weeks itself! After dutifully paying a hefty downpayment and monthly financing for 12 months, we made contact to use one of these weeks. The Pura Vida website shows that we have only 30 international weeks, all of which are priced much higher than the agreed upon $399 price. This is a complete rip-off as I can EASILY find better deals for these 1-3 star locations in places no one wants to visit without having to pay for this deceptive package! Upon contacting customer service, they told us that nothing was available and that the $399 price was for ICE Rewards only! This is far from true, as not only does the contract state otherwise, ICE Rewards lists NOTHING anywhere near that price anyways! Complete waste of money for something NO ONE would benefit from! Violation of contract and rude customer service! Avoid at all costs!

When we purchased the travel program from them, we were told that we would be able to book 10 weeks a year at over 500,000 different private residences throughout the world for a cost between $199 and $999 per week, as well as gain access to a travel website that provided significant travel discounts on hotels, rental cars, and airfare. We were shown this website, as well as the pricing, by our salesman, nick kit, and this was the primary reason we wanted to purchase the vacation club from pura vida lifestyles.

We were given access to a travel website about 16 days after we made the purchase. When we logged in to the website, we noticed that this was not the same website we were shown, and the pricing was much higher. There were also very few private residences that could be booked within the website, and the pricing was also much higher than we were told. It closely resembled the website of another travel club that we already own, world discovered pacific. At this time, we contacted out salesman, nick kit, and told him about the website. In an email, nick told us that this was only a “demo” website and we would receive access to the same website that he showed us about 45-60 days from our date of purchase. He said there are 2 websites, for pura vida lifestyles and the private residence club. When we got access to pvl, we emailed isabel media with pvl and she told us that this is the only website that we have access to. We tried asking other questions of both nick, and pura vida lifestyles, which were not answered. We never received access to any other website, so we filed the dispute with your company to dispute the transaction since the other party, pura vida lifestyles, didn’t live up to their part of the agreement which we signed, since the travel program we received was not what was sold to us by nick kit. We sent back up of all of this as part of our dispute, including all of the communication between us, nick, and pura vida lifestyles.

I don’t understand how you can reject our dispute when we acted in good faith with the vendor, waited the time we were told to receive what we paid for from them. When this didn’t happen, and they were unwilling to answer our questions or able to live up to what we were sold, we disputed the transaction with the hope that your company would either be able to use your leverage to get them to cancel the transaction and refund us our money, due to misrepresentation and the fact that they lied to us, which would cause the contract to be null and void.

At the time of purchase, they were going to take over 3 of our timeshares. They use value traders, based in cancun mexico, to liquidate the timeshares. When we contacted the timeshare companies – morritt’s resort, wyndham and jockey club, all of the companies said that they will not work with value traders and they are not a legitimate company. This was a huge red flag for us. We contacted nick and value traders about this. Of course, value traders said that wasn’t true. Nick said that we could keep the timeshares and sell them ourselves. Getting rid of the three timeshares was the main reason we bought into what we thought was access to the private residence club program and we would not have to deal with the three timeshares any longer and pay the annual maintenance fees. So, at this point, we still have the three timeshares and we still have to pay the annual maintenance fees on them. We were sold pura vida lifestyles vacation website. We told nick from the beginning that it was exactly like the world discovered pacific vacation club that we already paid for and belong to. He said it was completely different and we would also have access to the private residence club website, where we could use our annual rental weeks. Again, all of this was a complete lie and misrepresentation since we never received access to any such website.

We don’t want to cancel this transaction because we changed our mind, we were deceived and are the victims of fraud at the hands of both nick kit, and pura vida lifestyles. If you are unable to help us with this, we will be forced to pursue this matter with the courts in mexico, which we are both unfamiliar with, and will most likely be a very costly and time-consuming process. We felt secure making this transaction with our barclay card because we felt if offered us some level of protection, but based on the letter we received from you, this does not appear to be the case.

TOTAL SCAM - STAY AWAY FROM PURA VIDA LIFESTYLES

DO NOT BUY "PURA VIDA LIFESTYLE" Vacation Club Membership (owned by Sunset World Timeshares). We purchased this from Nick Kit at Hacienda Tres Rios in Playa Del Carmen, MX. He is part of Sunset World Total lies. He told us that we would have access to the "Private Residence Club" website and we could rent homes from $199-$999 per week, depending on size and location. We kept asking him and PVL about this website. PVL said that we only have access to that website, that there is no Private Residence Club website. We have it in writing from Nick Kit and PLV will not refund our money due to lies, misrepresentation and fraud on part of Nick Kit and his manager Chad. We tried going through our credit card company and they would not refund us the money. We are going to file a lawsuit against PVL and Sunset World. We have filed a complaint with Profeco Consumer Protection Agency. We just did this, so I am hoping we hear something from them. We are also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. There is so much more I could write. Just DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
