I was told I needed a co signer..so the next day the employee took the person's info over the phone told us to come down everything is good to go..so we went they told us that the co signer will receive money for cosigning for me..they nv put my name on the contract did not tell me..did not explain what they were doing while the entire time I am thinking the person. I brought was going to be my cosigner.he ended up being the buyer they have him 1000 dollars..didnt make sense I wrote a check 500.00 thinking I'm the buyer. At the end still didn't know what was going on..
I went to this Dealership after speaking with Katya (sales rep) for a few days prior. I had a unique situation. I had filed bankruptcy recently and i had a vehicle that i was paying on but was discharged in the BK, however my old car company let me make payments to keep the vehicle. When I went in on january 18th, i had signed a contract for a 2017 nissan altima. I knew about the 10 day rule so I remained Nervous. I talked to the sales people there and they told me to just give the other car back since it was discharged. i was heistant becuase i wanted to make sure I was secure in a vehicle before I did, but I have text messages saying i was good and to go ahead and give it back. Everything was good and I went on. On Jan 31st i got a letter in the mail saying they are rescinding the contract. IT was postmarked Jan 27th which was within the 10 days. I immediately called and couldnt reach anyone until Feb 1st.
I spoke with two people there who said that i was good and they sent that in "anticpation" that the bank doesnt fund the loan. Then i spoke with someone else via text message on Jan 6th who told me the bank still needed to verify my income. I sent over my March paystub because my payroll companies swapped in april, so they were calculating my YTD from Jan instead of from April. Then nothing until last night when I was told to turn the car in. I did talk to an attorney who said that dealerships cannot send an "anticpation" rescind letter. That does not protect the consumer. I talked to the finance manager David Barackman who was so rude and wouldnt even let me talk. He said I had to bring the car in, wouldnt give me info and kept yelling at me. He said that I bounced the downpayment check. It was 500 dollars and when I went in, I epxlained to katya that the funds would not be available until feb 10th. Then I got a message from nancy, who was very nice, and worked out the arrangement with me prior to me being told to turn in the car. I then told him I am a single parent with no vehicle,, how does he expect me to take the car in, so they can come get it. He said he would charge me, i told him no he wont, this is their fault. How can a dealership send an "anticpation" rescind letter? If that is the case, then every dealership can do that and the 10 day rule would never apply. Also, the told me to give back my other car. I will be hiring the attorney I talked to and going after this dealership.
They are the worst that anyone could go to. I also a friend who is a new anchor. If i have to go to the press, i will. I want to talk to the owner of this company. David should not be working there, he is so rude and lazy, he is never available when you call until he is calling yelling at you. DONT GO HERE! EVER! you will be sorry.
NISSAN North America has shown blatant disregard for unscrupulous business practices by Nissan Dealerships that are costing consumers sometimes thousands of dollars per transaction with little to no repercussions. Some examples of these unethical and deceptive practices include (Dealer Add Ons *VIN Etch, Paint Protection, Fabric Protection, Protection Portfolio Packages, GAP Insurance, etc...) while making it appear that these are not optional in the finance office. All of these add ons are added to the amount financed which means the consumer pays interest on the total amount. Nissan dealerships have been falsifying loan applications to get consumers approved for vehicles they simply can't afford and are also doing what is called "Spot Delivery" where you think you have been approved, drive home only to be contacted by the dealership to say you will have to put more money down or finance at a much higher percentage rate. After having to report "Puente Hills Nissan" located in City of Industry, CA to the Federal Trade Commission, State Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau as well as the F.B.I. for dealer fraud I wanted to bring to the public's attention the need for complaints to be filed with the proper agencies so that any dealership using deceptive and unethical tactics will be investigated and charged accordingly. Nissan Corporate however has turned a blind eye and when complaints have been filed to Nissan Consumer Affairs, consumers are quickly referred back to these very dealerships that committed the fraud to begin with. Nissan Corporate needs to be accountable and more rigorous standards need to be demanded. If you or someone you know has experienced anything similar to the above file a complaint with the FTC, State Attorney General, BBB, Local News, DMV, etc...As consumers we have the power to say NO MORE!
Hi! I was really dissapointed with this dealer.. My story is that this dealer has maid a contract with my sister and she needed me to be her cosigner. This dealer told my sister that she was gonna be the owner of the car and just needed my signature to be a cosigner because I had a credit score of 740. This lady by the name which is unknown ran my credit and said it was perfect, but let me tell you, this happen on Dec, 2015. I was in my 2nd trimester of being pregnant and had about 2 half years with out working, so no income at all. She literally said I didn't need to go in she was gonna drive to my house just for me to sign the contract. She said by me cosigning my name was gonna appear on the contract but after 6 months my name was automatically gonna come off the contract since my sister was making all the payments. She came to my house told me how it works and what I explain to you is exactly what she told me and my sister. I sign and the thing is that she said because of my credit score my sister didn't have to give a down payment and she had 3 months to pay the first Bill which was $569.98.
That was gonna be the monthly amount. I never done somthing like this so I didn't really think nothing of it just that I was trying to help my sister out. She went and filled the car with gas and gave me $500 for cosigning. That was the deal that the dealer was having at that time.she gave my sister a ride and told her that once the paper work was filed we would receive the contract by mail. I never received the contract neither did my sister. Everything ended up on my name. I received DMV papers and license plates on my name so I called my sister and ask her what is going on. She called that girl and she said that she was gonna sort the whole thing out it was a simple mistake. When my sister did the paper work my gave her a void check or blank check good thing my sister did not have any money at that time because a couple of months later the bank called her and said some one tried to cash out $1000 from nissan dealership. The girl who ended up quiting among with her supervisor.
Little do we know they have been doing this to plenty of people. Cash out checks while the supervisor signed. Well I kept getting phone calls from the agency that approved us for a loan and kept saying we where behind payments. Every day I kept getting phone calls from this agency talking down on me and disrespecting me and I was pregnant so it made me stress and I was I high risk on my pregnancy and dealing with this situation I didn't know what to do but to ignore all the calls. They kept calling and one time this guy had told me that how stupid was I because I never receive a contract that what kind of a dealership would let me drive off with a 2015 nissan altima. Basically saying that they could report the car as stolen. Later on I get a call from a suposably lawyer saying that they have been trying to locate the car and that I was trying to hide the car because it has a repoland they been looking for it for 5-6months. The car was always on my sister's house on her drive way. The car later was repo on june I think. And now they Bill me that I owe $22,000 on this car that I never had my credit score dropped my credit cards are being cancel and everything is just bad.never have I had a contract and I have gone to this dealer to have them give me a copy of my contract. They had me wait almost one hour just to tell me that I had to come back because they didn't have it at that time.I'm scared that I'm gonna be in debt cause of this car. Can any one help me out? What is it that I need to do?
I walked into Puente Hills Nissan looking to help my parents buy a new 2015 Pathfinder on October 4 that we had already picked out with a TrueCar quote in hand. A different dealer had a lower quote but the internet manager, Andrew, insisted I bring it in and they will beat it.
We were originally told by the internet manager that the Guardian Shield Protection Plan (leather protection, theft protection, ding defender) they offer is "optional" and recommended until the time came around to show us our total cost. Of course they wouldn't have said anything if i didn't inquire about what the $1995 cost added in there was. All of a sudden, the internet director, Rafael, tells us that it's already installed on this car and all cars on their lot and we are required to get this "optional" protection plan. This is unheard of and blew my mind!!
We were not interested in purchasing this at all. Anytime I have purchased a vehicle, it has always been an option. I know they were just trying to stab us with this scam because we had such a great deal on the car going in and they didn't want to lose money. After we went back and forth about it he brought out "official" stickers from other dealerships proving to me they charge double the price that they do for markups. I don't believe it for one second because it sounds like an illegal practice to me. I later contacted another Nissan dealer to find that this practice is not true there. They were bringing the car we wanted from another dealer 20 minutes away because it was a unique color and he even said "in case the car doesn't already have the protection on there, I need to charge you for it and have them do it."
I had already spent 6 hours at the dealer in what should have been a 1-2 hour transaction. I gave in only because I didn't want to start the process all over again elsewhere and arguing was getting us nowhere. On top of screwing us with the protection plan, we were supposed to get a $500 rebate which Rafael used to get down to our original TrueCar quote. This is also bs because the rebate was not included in the original TrueCar quote I had received and should have been another $500 off that price. I told him it's wrong and Rafael just said he can keep it for himself and not even give it to me if he didn't want to (he was definitely doing me no favor as I had no added benefit or savings).
Overall what was supposed to be a good experience turned into a bad one. BEWARE when you go in you will probably get screwed into paying for an "optional" protection plan that is required. I still had to go in to have them finish putting on the "theft protection" on my doors as part of this package because none of this protection plan was preinstalled as they claim. No doubt they should refund me for forcing me into this protection plan i had no interest in and give me my $500 rebate. Even the finance director later admitted the sales people were doing this and screwing customers over, knowing that it was wrong
