I was approached on twitter by someone who pretended to be Danielle from PCH who was messaging me on there constantly and text messaged me. I reported the incident to the PCH fraud report center and blocked her. Suddenly I started to receive magazines in the mail with my name on them. I got a bill on may 7,2016 Saturday stating I owed them $71.92 . I called the 800 number on the people subscription of it and it said it was set up by a third person party and gave me another 800 number to call. When I called it, it was Publishers Clearing house. I don't have any way of paying them. They have called numerous times asking me time sign up for this and that then asked for a credit card number and when I told them I don't have one and that

In 1994 Publishers Clearing House sent mailings telling recipients they were all "finalists", which led to[10] a lawsuit involving the attorneys general of 14 US states.[19][20][21] Later that year, Publishers Clearing House denied wrongdoing, but agreed to pay a settlement of $490,000 and to change their practices.[20] Under the agreement, Publishers Clearing House said it would define terms like "finalist" and disclose the chances of winning.[22]

In 1997, a contestant of competitor American Family Publishers flew to Tampa, Florida thinking he had won, though he had not. The resulting publicity caused more lawsuits for both companies.[6] Publishers Clearing House reached a $30 million national settlement in 1999.

[8][23] In 2000, another $18 million settlement was reached with 24 states, after the company sent mass mailings that said "You are a winner!" and used mock personalized checks.[17][24] Publishers Clearing House agreed to avoid similar mailings in the future, and add a "sweepstakes fact box" to mailings.[17][24]

State attorneys spoke out against the national settlement from 2000 and additional lawsuits were filed by individual states.[8] Another $34 million settlement was reached in 2001 in a lawsuit involving 25 states.[1][25] As part of the settlement, Publishers Clearing House was required to avoid terms like "Guaranteed Winner," add disclaimers to mailings saying that the recipient has not won and that purchasing merchandise won't increase their chances.[26][25][27] Publishers Clearing House reached settlements with all fifty states and agreed to work with a "compliance counsel."[6] Publishers Clearing House apologized in the settlement and said it would contact customers who had spent more than $1,000 on merchandise the prior year".[28]

Publishers Clearing House also reached an agreement with Iowa in 2007.[29] In 2010 the company paid $3.5 million to the Attorneys General of 32 states and the District of Columbia to settle possible contempt charges that it had violated the terms of the 2001 agreement. The company denied wrongdoing, but agreed to work with both an ombudsperson and a compliance counsel who would review its mailings quarterly.[30][31][32][33]

In April 2014, an investigation by the Senate Special Committee on Aging concluded that Publishers Clearing House had "pushed the limits" of prior agreements and that additional legislation may be needed.[34]

Got a check in the mail for over $4000 saying it was partial payment on a Publishers Clearing House prize for $530k and that I was to use it to pay fees and taxes before they could release my winnings.

I went on Publisher's website and read through their fraud cautions. They said this is a classic scam where the check is no good but your bank makes funds available to you within 1-5 business days. You cash it, send the scammers some money to pay "fees and taxes" and maybe 2 weeks later the bank tells you the check was no good and you are liable for the amount! The bank does not immediately verify the funds on the check so the scammers rely on that delay to hit you for a couple of grand or so.

So, the check looks real, you are instructed to contact your "agent" immediately or the window to claim your prize will close. After determining this probably wasn't for real, my wife calls the guy and says she is recording the call and that she had contacted Publishers and that they told her they don't operate that way. She was met with a moment of silence then the call was terminated!

It looked so real and it was a disappointment but we didn't fall for it!

Was contacted via e-mail by a person claiming to be a representative of publishers clearing house. He claimed that i was to be the recipient of$1,000,000. He was asking that I send money to a "shipping company" so that he can send me the check. I didn't feel good about this so I contacted PCH directly and was informed that they never ever send winning notifications via e-mail. It is always done in person. People please be aware that this is a scam.

On December 9th, 2015, I was telephoned by a man who gave his name as David Washington, prize director for Publishers Clearing House. I was told that I had won $850K and a new Mercedes with a winning ticket from a drawing. We talked for a bit, and I was passed on to some "supervisor" who talked more and wanted to know if I would be home at 2:30 pm to receive the prizes. After being asked about my marital status, he suddenly cut off the phone conversation. I hung around at home until after 3:00 pm, but just as I suspected, no one showed up. It was all an apparent scam of some kind. I wondered if it was some new kind of house robbing scam where they ask if you are going to be home. If not, they rob your house. Does Publishers Clearing House really award any of their so-called prizes? Are those awards based upon marital status? I don't know, but that answer might be interesting and viewable as discrimination.

Recieved an entertainment center which had been on back-order for a very long time. Upon opening the package found it was an entertainment center I had ordered but forgot about due to the length of time they had it on back order. It did not work and had no power supply and was inoperable. The item was taped up and returned at the Ormond Beach Pot office, Florida on July 18, 2015. As with other items returned to them in the past, the post office just accepted the package, scanned the label and tosed it on a table/bin behind him. I even had a witnes sign a paper, (as this was the post office where he recieved hi mail, and he was with me when I took the package inside). The postman did not offer a receipt and none ever has. I am still getting bills from PCH over this entertainment center even though it was most definitely returned!!!! I have even filed a complaint with that post office branch and heard nothing back except continious letters from PCH.

I feel they did get the item back but becaue it wa damaged they are determined to collect for the worthless merchandise. They ay they have no record of the item being returned but it wa returned. I do not reccomend ordering anything from them a they do want to acknowledge they have recieved anything and thi was a fairly pricey piece of junk. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

During a recent sweepstakes mailing, there was a scratch card. I scratched off the silver covering and it stated I had won one million dollars. In the next mailing the scratch card said I had won Ten Thousand Dollars.

Nobody from PCH ever contacted me regarding my winnings. I know both cards were properly signed and returned in the reply envelope. They say "no purchase is necessay to win" but I think they open the envelope and seeing no purchase of thier overpriced junk, they throw out the envelope with the scratch card enclosed. Since I thought I was dealing with a large, honest company I did not make a copy of the two winning cards.

I hope that if your still foolish to enter thier sweepstakes and play the scratch card, you make a photo copy of the wining scratch. Just mailing it in without buy some of thier junk, you can for get seeing anything from PCH.

I only specified one game, however many times I have questioned the timers on some of the games, not all are timed. I have been playing PCH Online Games for 34 months.

First, I would like to point out that while I am vacationing with friends in the Philippines I am NOT ALLOWED to win ANY prizes, ONLY tikens.

The latest and most notable is the Black Jack game which, when one hits a "Black Jack" in regular play, the game changes to another screen which is playing card scratch off to win a cash prize, regardless of the number of cards drawn trying to reach the magic number of "21" the number 10 ALWAYS appears to place you in a "Busted" status which, of course CANNOT win.

There is much I need to say about PCH Online Games and I will include them one at a time in other reports.

I was contacted via facebook by someone claiming to be Danielle Lam with publishers clearing house. She stated that my name was randomly picked as a grand prize winner and that I needed to send 50.00 via moneygram to a merchant banker in california. I am still in contact with this person and waiting to see what is next? Any suggestions on what I should do next?

After months of participating in this scam, I realized that I should look into this company that I am giving my personal information to. Upon looking into thus company I've discovered that there have been many reports of being fraudulent. Most of the time I am skeptical of websites and giving out my information , but with so many people participating I assumed it was safe. I began to receive calls saying I won $100 gift vouchers. They have called numerous times asking me to just pay for the shipping which I have not done due to my skepticism. I have also discovered that the same guy has one twice and from reading the odds are not likely.

I have gotten emails daily from PCH promising me a chance to win 5,000.00 a week for life and the life of someone else i pick. Also there were games that if I played enclosed in each email that said if I played it would raise the chances of me winning the 5,000 a week and also I could win either cash or tokens from each game. Also attached to each game there were "exciting" offers from various sponsors, ranging from various games to life insurance policies. Also you were encouraged to use their search engine and search for different things. As a hinton01 for them I searched intimidation, coercion, harassment, and a few other things. I even sent an email to Todd asking if I was for sure a winner. I got a standard response that I have been given the opportunity to win and I didn't have to purchase anything, that would not increase my chances of winning. I feel like I'm pressured by PCH. Some of the language is are you really going to forfeit 7000 a week? Why would you forfeit this opportunity, will you claim or forfeit. In some of their language it sounds like I've already won. I have never dealt with an organization so persistent and pressuring .Sandra. Grand Rapids Michigan

It started with a telephone call from someone identifying themselves as: Bruce Golding. He alleged he was the CEO of Publishers Clearing House. He advised that my mom had won $2.5 million, and a Mecredes Benz. He said it will be delivered tomorrow(8/18/2015). There is a charge, of course, before my Mom could take posssion of ethier one of the two alleged winnings.

Both my wife and I were getting mailings for the usual cash give aways. Along with these mailings were advertisements for products. At first we were ordering these products and recieving same. Then one day we got a phone call survey from PCH, and we answered their questions honestly. Then my wife stopped recieving mail from them. we called as she wanted to order another cookbook. She was told that she could not recieve anymore products because she had answered a question on the survey that BANNED her from recieving anymore mailings from PCH. I kept getting the mailings and was still ordering products. Then starting in January, I wasn't recieving any of the products I was ordering. After about 3 months, I called PCH and advised them that I wasn't recieving any of the products. I asked them if they were getting my requests and the applications, and was told they had the applications but did not have any of the requests. I asked them how this could happen as the requests were glued on the form. Their answer was that maybe it "was lost in the mail". I still am getting flyers and mail saying that I'm in the running for the cash prize, but am not recieving any of the requested merchandise I have asked for. My wife's name is Cindy Quinn.

If this is not a rip off, than what would it be called. I'm sure that the manufactures of the products they offer would be glad to know that there are people out here would like to order their products, but is being blocked(blackballed) by PCH
