Publishers Marketing Bureau is one of those telemarketers that preys on naive senior citizens. They phone the seniors with their subscription "bargains". Many seniors think they are getting a "good deal" on their magazines because PMB offers multiple-year subscriptions. However, if they would just do some research the prices PMB charges is at least triple the cost they could subscribe directly from the publisher. When you call them and ask for a cancellation and for the charge to be removed from your credit card, you will be told, "PMB has paid the publisher for your subscription and now you have to repay us."
PMB has ripped off my mother in the past 2 years for more than $600 for subscriptions that she either doesn't need or could have renewed for about 1/3 of what she paid PMB. I requested her name and telephone number be placed on their DO NOT CALL list. I hope they call her so they can "get theirs" from the FCC!
