I received a card in the mail from this company saying I had not responded to previous offers to subscribe to a magazine I was subscribed to. My subscription was about to expire, so I thought this was the company I had originally bought the subscription from (it wasn’t).
I sent a check for $160 to the address listed on the card by the deadline in May, 2021. My check was cashed on two weeks later, according to my bank. As of 3 months later I had not received any issues of the magazine, or any notice that the subscription had started again.
I called the company twice and left voice messages. I have also emailed them twice. The company never responded. I called the magazine but they don't do business with this company.
I reported them to BBB, the Georgia Department of Law's Consumer Protection Division, and the police, but they all say they can’t do anything about it. I don't understand why the police can't shut down a company that's stealing people's money.
