To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. In the final analysis I feel as though the transaction was “I am going to hold onto you money and if the price of gold goes down we win, and if the price of gold goes up you get your money back”. What shysters!
They supposedly ship my gold and it gets “lost”. There was never any evidence that UPS picked up the shipment, nor was it ever scanned in Texas, along the way, or at the final destination in Louisiana (the final destination), and no signature was collected as required (because it did not arrive).
Provident blamed UPS and stated I had to wait 30 days for a refund. Why is there agreement to insure their product my problem? I purchase a gold bar for an agreed upon amount and they agreed to sell me that product. I have no agreement with UPS. My agreement is with Provident; Exchange of money for a product that was in stock at the time of purchase!
After approximately 35 days (and the price of gold increasing) they choose to refund the money versus provide the product purchased, somehow justifying to themselves that their failure (or their shippers) problem is my problem.
On 3/23/17 mailed check,First they say didn't receive payment .Then took my $1983,but after 3 weeks I didn't receive the 100 pcs 2016 Maple Leaves ordered. They claimed lost in shipment thru USPS Signed Receipt Priority Mail. Made me write signed letter stating I did not receive. Made me wait over, 30 days. They then said that '16 unavailable would I accept '17 coins. I agreed upon refund of value difference. Received coins but now after I questioned how and when I would receive refund! They say it was an even exchange. This is " Bait and Switch", with possible mail/ insurance fraud.

Provident Metals is operated by 30 years old owner, Joe Merrick with PO BOX address in Texas.
Their price quote is higher than market price, and does not reflect market price reflections which they refuse to explain.
You will see a lot of complaints against this company that it is actually scamming.
1. they charge false market loss fees when there is no market loss (never purchased)
2. they also charge false market loss ADMIN fees.
timing is great. they wait several months until gold price goes down, then demand/extort market loss/admin charges.
4. gold price fluctuate. their policy is to keep gains, but customer pays losses. so they wait several months to see gold price drops, then demand false market losses.
======
OK I talked to Joe again and he will consider giving you the $119 market loss if you will allow him to explain Provident's policy. He understands you might be frustrated if you somehow missed it, and that is the only reason he is considering it. What time are you free to talk to him?

Well, I talked to him and I think he is going to be sending you the $119. The only thing is he wants to explain what happened over the phone. Is that possible?

Not a very reputable way to run a business!
Check lost in mail?
Mailed check for over $13,000 on 10/7/2017. Today is 10/20/2017 and Provident says "awaiting payment".
Letter with check has not been returned to me, and they claim never received. I don't believe it.
Price of gold went up after placing order.
