Their cell phone protection is a complete waste of money and a rip-off. They seem to make the process easy, but when you file a claim, they will charge you $150 for a replacement. This is not a new phone, it is refurbruished. Add up your monthly charge and then the "Deductible" and it is not worth the time and effort. "Alexis" also refused to transfer me to a supervsior or give thier name and number. I guess managment hides in their office avoiding calls from their customers. Verizon should be ashamed to use them as a 3rd party provider. After using Verizon for 20 years, I think I will go to AT&T.
I am following up on my request for R******* that was cancelled. I called in the other day and verified with a Verizon Representative conferenced in on the line. I had notified Verizon that the HTC One had been put on the lost/Stolen list 10/20/2015. A full week before the policy expired. I purchased the Protectcell Plan Through Verizon in 2013. I telephoned Protectcell within my policy period and nothing is noted until i did an on-line followup on 11/17/2015. The customer service representative said there is nothing they can do because the policy has expired. Although I gave proof that I had contacted Verizon Before the policy expired. I need protectcell to Re-Open the policy and process my request for a replacement HTC One.
I bought a iphone 6 plus at the local (v) store we all know the big company,while there i was sold a protection plan on the phone .( the company was called ( protectcell ) i knew nothing of this company at the time , i was more excited about getting the new phone .
9 months go by and for some reason my cell phone fell in my car while driving ,and the front glass cracked ,yes it was cover with all the protection i cound think of.so i called the company, (protectcell ) and we discuss the problem .the woman on the phone said after giving her all my information.( she wanted to thank me for be a customer ) and my problem with the cracked screen would be taken of.as a protection for the company before the phone arrived .she said " we normally charge $ 150.00 when you file a claim. but since you have never used the service i will wave the $ 150.00 dollar charge ,but to protect the company ,form loss do you have a credit card or debit card , i will post a $ 150.00 dollar charge to your account ,when the phone is returned i will credit the $ 150.00 dollars back into your account .you have 15 days to return your old phone ,if we do not recieve your old phone we will bill your account for the phone.
the phone arrived from protectcell and within 3 days after receiving the new phone ,the old phone was returned .i waited 3 weeks no $ 150.00 dollars returned to my account.i call ed company .and repeated the information i was told by the woman who handle my claim,this time i was told by a sales person thats not our policy ,then why would the first sells person tell me that when i could have got glass repaired for less that 129. what reason would i have to pay them the $150.00 ,that would be stupid. i asked for a superviser,the lady said i will have a person call you back in 48 hours,i waited one week and no return call.from the company.
i called again to the company asked to speak to a supervisor.this time i got a guy named joe ,who i repeated what i was told by their first representive ,$ 150.00 would be credited to my account.he said he would look into it and give me a call back .in less than 45 minutes the man had called me back and said ."i found the recordering when no one else had,or called me back .and there was no mention of a return of my money. i said i wanted a copy of the recording .he refused ,i then said when she offered the return of the 150.00 for never filling a claim " i told her , that was very nice of her and this company .the man lied and said there was no such mention in the conversation .i told him he was a ******* lier.why would she tell me that .$ 95.00 i could have gotten the glass repaired on the iphone 6 plus.but she was stating first time user (free no charge ) just a deposit until the old phone is returned
