So i needed to recover some data from a failed hard drive.
I went Pro Soft Engineering site, and downloaded the trial, but it wasn't enough to know if it would in fact recover the data correctly (obviously because they want you to buy) so I went ahead and bought it.
upon purchasing, there were a string of disclaimers, even one stating that using the program could actually DAMAGE the disk. afraid that this would screw things up, I actually just went to a pro at a data recovery place to take care of it.
I called up for a refund, even offering the receipt of the data recovery place and they refused.
I mentioned that I didn't use it because their discalimers and saying I could possibly damage the disk made me nervous about their product and that I would never have bought it had i know already.
