We signed up with Lori at Promerit to have some things straightened out on our credit report. She took our initial payment and said that letters to the credit bureaus were going out that day. She said the first step would take those 30-45 days for them to respond, meanwhile we paid another month. When contacted, Lori stated that we would get notifications from the bureaus, to be patient. After about 50-60 days we called and tried to cancel but the phone just rang, no voicemail and no return calls. After 60 days and another billing we were charged again. After making another phone call the number is no longer in service. I finally disputed with my bank but they would only investigate the payments since we tried to cancel, since I gave permission for the initial transaction. The bank was not able to contact them and nor have I heard anything since, consequently there never was anything done to my credit through the bureaus. I even drove to the office and the current tennant said he had been there since end of May which is when she took out intial payment. If only I knew then what I know now.
