Here is my 2 week experience with Progressive Transportation: It took me over 1 year to make my mind up to go there because Joe Coles knows how to strecth the truth better than a politiacian. If he tells you you will make alot of money you better run and run quickly away. If you have a family to support, mortage to pay then run don't walk because anything out of his mouth is just plain hot air and you, not them will suffer. The owners Troy and Craig will tell you they will run you because if your not moving they don't make money. True but they give you 6 days to go from Auroura, Il to El Cerito, Ca 2044 pay miles. You are there 3 days early but you can't deliver and in the mean time do they find you a load so when your empty you can go to pick up another? No it's up to you where you go to sit and I sat for 2 days after I unloaded , when I told my wife enough is enough and I brought the trailer back from Santa Nella Ca to Wausau Wi on my dime and the padwraps were neatly folded. Also they charged for drug test, signage plus you have to put it on, charge for uninstalling qualcomm and charge for installing peoplenet, and they charge you for hotel and if you quick they take back fuel money that got you up there. They kept over $1200 of my only check even though I brought back thier trailer. I called OOIDA and reported them. The lease agreement DOES NOT have it in there that they charge for drug test, uninstalling/stalling or take back fuel money. Craig told OOIDA I will have my lawyer get back but of course he did not.
If your thinking of going to work for these thieves then expect to stay in the sleeper more than you drive and dont expect to get paid for what they tell you they will pay you. I had to do inventory on 2 trailers which I was supposed to be paid $30 each and they kept that as well.
Now if you do go ahead and work for them DON'T expect them to pick up the phones and answer and if you break down have a good book to read because the maintence guy there should find something else for work. This WAS the worst company I ever worked for and I hope more of the people who got screwd over by them can get togehter and have a class action lawsuit against them. I would love to put these crooks out of business.
Remeber if you don't run we don't make money. Thats true but if you onlu run 1 load a week and they have 47 trucks they are still making money but YOU won't. And when you quit they will KEEP your money.2016-03-27
