I did a lease with progress residential 3 months ago. I've sent out many emails, many phone calls, the "listing agent" hung up on me when i asked about commission. They are thieves. The worst. Should lose their license. I will be reporting them to the local association of realtors as well. Total scam artists!

This company is shady at best. We ended up loosing a little over $100 (credit check fee +tax) which to us is no more than a rounding error. I had to review to warn others of the shady practices of this company as $100 as it did to us many years ago might mean a lot to some people.

First off we have not rented houses in a long time as we have bought our houses. The reason we were renting this time is we were moving across the country and wanted to check out the area and get acclimated before we buy or build. With our credit being outstanding I thought no problem. So I filled out the app and sent the credit fee.

You think that would have been it but everyday it was something new. The copies of our drivers licensing wasn't good enough. They wanted pictures of us holding our licenses. I thought that was odd. The next day they wanted more. They then wanted pictures of us holding our Social Security cards.

We were not going to do that as at that point I was wondering if they were trying to steal our identity and not being legit. They canceled our agreement. I started looking at other options. There were many but not with the inventory of Progress Residential.

We dealt with a local company instead of someone 2000+ miles away. They ran their credit and background checks on us and to quote them they said "as far as the rental world goes you guys are golden". Hmm. What was Progress Residential doing that is so far removed from this.

After reading all the 1 star reviews and complaints and how they try to scam you at the end of your rental I am glad I only lost $100. It would cost more to go after them than it would be worth not to mention my time but I am really considering it anyway as at this point it is not about the money but about them taking advantage of people.

Companies like this should have some light shed on them. I hope they continue to have a high inventory and people read these boards as not to make the same mistake a lot of us have made.

I am a senior who lives off of Social Security disability. I have lived in the same place, which is not one of their proerties for over three years. I check my credit with Credit Karma. I saw that Progress Residential said that since May 8th 2019 I have owed them $2300. They then turned this amount into a collection agency on August 19th 2019. I do not know how they got my information and I have cancer.

The stress of the treatments is enough but now my credit scores are being affected by this fraud. I have had to contact all three credit agancies, file a report with the FTC and file a criminal report with the local police dept. If there is a class action law suit already going on, I want in. If not I want my credit repaired and something for the additional stress and anxiety this has caused.

I wish I could give these people 0 stars. Where do I begin? I have never in my life worked with a bunch of incompetent, Slow and unprofessional people in my life!! Do not rent from this company if you like your money. 1st of all when you move in they will treat you like royalty as we should expect... But if you have any real issues do not look to these people to give you any kind of support...

There are hidden charges people... When you move out they prorate the utilities that they think you're going to use because you will pay them through the company. We did not have the option to get our own trash our own gas or our own water.. We have to pay that through the company but whenever you're ready to pay your last month rent they will charge you for what they think you're going to be using based on what you supposedly were using for the amount of time that you live there...

That's bull krapp! My last month's rent was almost $2000 that was with no late fees . only with those prorated charges in my rent is normally 1410 a month... They also will not tell you that you have to pay your last payment through the company not online and you will not have the option to pay it on wips either..

You have to call them!! Do not be stupid like I did and try to pay it the normal way because that will not be acceptable and will charge you a late fee . even though they will not tell you this information!! The house looked very beautiful but that was only window dressing because that house fell apart in the 1st week.

The 1st week I was there the cabinets fell off of the wall with all of my dishes in them... And I was not reimbursed for my loss. 3 days after I moved in the kitchen sink stopped working and I had to wait on somebody to come replace the hardware. The 4th day that I was there the pipes burst and the garage ceiling phalion on top of my vehicles.

I drive a new BMW... So of course I wasn't happy about that but again nobody offered to reimburse me for my losses.. And the people that came to repair the ceiling used my cleaning supplies ..such as my mop and my broom and totally destroyed them with sheet rock dust and never ask my permission and never told me what they did..

I literally had to purchase other equipment to clean my own home because apparently they didn't have a mop and a broom and cleaning supplies.. So OK I took that on the chin again!! Then the air conditioner stopped working and completely was broken.. Had to wait on that to be to fixed.. Then the shower in the main bathroom burst again another leak and was leaking in my living Room.

We got that fixed and then the toilet stopped working. Which I was informed that because it was less than a $100 I would have to pay out of pocket to have it fixed... So I did. The carpets were not cleaned someone had an animal and even though I was told that it was just my imagination ..whenever I finally had someone out to clean my carpet ..

I had to pay extra for deep down pet cleaning to get the smell out.. On top of that the flooring in front of the front door had water damage and was always a complete eyesore even though I was promised that someone would fix it. The flowres had to be re stripped and re waxed because who ever lived there before used the wrong cleaning products..

When I left that house it was in far better shape than when I rented it .. I then painted the walls that had pin marks and writing all over it just to have a place that I felt like was worst the money that I was paying... And you're asking yourself why would someone move into a residence like that? I had no idea that house had that many flaws because I'm a regular person and don't know what to look for...

Furthermore even though we paid our pro rated fees That amounted to nearly $600 they still say we owe a gas bill that we supposedly were prorated and charged a month before we ever used it... Don't understand how in the world we owe a bill we've already paid.. If you read this review and still rent from those people you'll find out everything I'm telling you is the truth...

they also charged for damages not incurred by me.. they are a scam and a rip off!! RENTERS BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!! IF YOU READ THESE REVIEWS AND STILL RENT FROM THEM YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO GET.. THAT'S A PROMISE

Horrible company. They will figure out different ways to charge you extra fees. Customer service is bad, and i’ve called during business hrs 2pm eastern and the voicemail said “you’ve called during non business hrs”. I will tell everyone i know and the people that visit in our neighborhood to not rent with this company!

I would give less than one star I would. This company seems to really care about tenants until it comes to a matter of screwing you out of money. I would never recommend to anyone to rent from this company. Their communication is terrible. Everywhere I’ve ever lease before only requires 30days notice to move out. This place requires 60 days and doesn’t even provide you with renewing options with enough time to consider. A little back story: I’m a disabled veteran who was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. I lost everything I went from living a normal life to not even being able to support my family. A year later I was diagnosed with Lupus.

After live going down the toilet over and over again I was able to finally go back to work in the beginning of 2016. I found a job back here in Phoenix. I found a home that looked great minus the dead landscaping they said I was responsible for renewing. I was able to get in and I felt as if everything was rushed for me to sign. I signed 18 month lease. I’ve never missed a payment. When I called for repairs there was instances the problem was cheaply fixed and would break over and over again. They didn’t mention to me the House was destroyed with mold prior to moving in. They have a clause that I have to make certain repairs.

Ive has to fix ever sink myself and replace the toilet fillers on all the toilets; these were beyond rotted. No one this was done in less than a year. The date I received my closing date I let progress residential know with 50 days of notice. Then they comeback saying I would have to be charged a month to month relate for 10 extra days. I let them know I couldn’t give them any more notice because i didn’t know my closing date. That’s right; I worked 55-60 hours a week to rebuild life, did extra jobs to put my family in a position to get everything we’d lost back. It’s pretty close to the wire and literally an extra $1000 can make all the difference for me right now.

I’ve requested for a phone call at least 10 times. The original guy “Randy” has not reached out to me despite multiple requests for calls back. I’ve asked for. Phone call from their management and they haven’t even provided that. Basically I’m not worth their time. I told them all I need is for them to work with me on this situation and all they care about is screwing me out of money. They posted my move out date as 11/6, yet they are charging me until 11/16 plus charging with extra b.s. I would never recommend this company for any reason. Vets stay away. They make it seem like they like vets, it’s all bulls***.

Ripp off artists I lived in Progress Residential home in Villa Rica in Ashbury development for 3 yrs. Every year they goes up on rent I decided to move out. The inspection agent didnt show up at the schedule walk through. My lease was up the same day. They charge me for another month & outrageous fees, I left the primises in great condition. My biggest mistake i didnt take photos because they charged me $5k in damages for what I Couldnt believe

Please do not rent from this company if you want to save yourself some headaches and stress. If you pay your rent on time, they are too lazy to post it on time and will charge you a late fee. It's very hard to get a reversal on it because they will not answer the phone and when they do, the girl at the front desk is clueless and she will send you to someone's voicemail whose not going to call you back. I've been renting from them going on 3 years and they are the worst property management company I've ever dealt with. If you need to be late on the rent they are not willing to work with you. I was late once and was told I could pay the late fee on a certain date and I paid on that date, they still filed eviction on me and I had to go to court and I wasn't behind on anything but I had over $400 in court cost and had to pay it by a certain date.
