I hired Profound Inspections to complete an inspection on a home I was buying. The day after we moved in, we started finding all of the things the inspector missed. Underneath the kitchen sink, was molded and rotted out. He managed to take a picture of the pipes that looked fine, but 6 inches away he left out the pictures of the molded, rotten sink bottom that had collapsed.
The wall going up the stairs was loose. There were plugs that were burnt out, and one had a golf ball sizse hole next to it. There were other things found as well. When I later contacted the owner, he told me that it was not like that. His response was, "well, maybe the homeowner sabotaged it". I feel that had we known about these things, we could have negotiated price with the seller. That was the whole point of having an inspection completed.
