Profromance Unlimited built me a 347 stroker. When they build a motor they take pictures of the build and film the dyno testing a send you a copy. When they filmed mine an air compressor turn on in the background which made the video turn out bad. We needed a different water pump installed on my motor since I was switching to a serpentine belt on my 67 Mustang. When we recieved the motor they had installed the wrong water pump so they sent us the right one and we already had to work on the motor from the begining.
I totally restored the car so when we got the motor it took a while to get it on the road. I drove it for about 3-4 months that summer breaking it in and working out little things that come with re-building a car. This summer June 2018 I went for a ride the fist time and the motor threw a rod. I called Steve at Profromace Unlimited and told him what happened and the first thing he said to me was I put in bad fuel, to much Ethonal he said. He told me not to touch the motor just pull it out of the car and have it sent to Proformance Unlimited. He told me on the phone that they would take care of me.
Well a long story short he did nothing but continue to say bad fuel. I got a hold of the fuel company that delivers the fuel to the gas station and he told me that their fuel has absolutely had no Ethonal in it. After they had my motor for about a month Steve noticed that I had switched the timing to be run off of my Fitech fuel injection and said that is why my engine failed. They were looking for any reason not to help me out. They didn't even take the motor apart to see what actually happened. You would think they would want to see what failed on a engine they built. My 1 year warranty was up but I feel since this was a new rebuilt car with 1100 miles on it they would of did something for me. I've read other reviews about Proformance Unlimited that have mentioned Steve and its just like they say he lies and does not want to help at all.
I had to get the engine shipped back to me and Steve wanted to charge me shipping both ways which was $850.00. I talked him into just charging me shipping back. Why did he waste my time and cost for shipping when he knew he was not going to do anything. Do not buy a engine from them. Do your research and go somewhere else. They do not want to stand behind what they build. The 347 Stroker they built for me was supposed to last. It was just a cruiser for me and I never pushed the engine to its limits like it was designed to be. Just wanted to let everyone know so you don't get in the same situation as me. I spent $8000 on a build from them. Waste of money.
