A 97 Honda Civic was purchased Friday 7.10.2020 from Prodigy Auto/Anissa “Machelle” Bowen. This vehicle was for my nephew. After driving the car for 30 miles or so the car began to overheat. Machelle had the vehicle towed which she promised to make things right per our conversation. Next day it was told to my brother the issue was the fan switch then later he was told it was blown head gasket. Machelle offered to buy the part if my brother would cover the labor which was not acceptable when $2700 was paid for this car.
My brother asked if there was another vehicle that could swapped out at the same price. Another vehicle was discussed but Machelle did not send the auto information for it as promised. Monday morning I texted Machelle to asked for a credit card refund which I was told by text I would need to dispute the account and good luck. She also stated that the car would incur a $25 storage fee and after 7 days the vehicle would be towed if it was not picked up.
The only reason my brother used this company is because of people he trusted made the recommendation. Prodigy’s website is also misleading “We stock our lot with quality pre-owned vehicles, we service our own vehicles to make sure the are in road ready shape”
