Beware Vendors and Homeowners! Jimmy Trone ordered and approved a $7,400.00 custom door order with my company. He did not know how to order or install what he ordered. We had difficulty getting a 50% deposit from the start. He said that he would be in a week later with the balance of the 50% but he did not call or show and we could not get ahold of him because his voicemail was always full. We told him 3-4 weeks as this was over the 4th of July holiday 2015. He started calling before 3 weeks to check the status which he was then reminded about the deposit deficiency which he stretched out for another week. Once the doors arrived they sat for another entire week before he picked them up. He then played a game of charades with the open balance, as we followed him out the door (as if he just forgot to hand us the check).
The check was deposited and came back NSF. I contact him via text and email because his voicemail was still full. After many delayed responses, he said he had a check bounce and would clear it up. Then he said the doors were incorrect. The doors were measured and all doors would fit in said openings. He was trying to install prehung doors in finished drywall openings without shimming and using quarter round to finish the jambs. This is not how you install a door! Needless to say he never made the check good. I contacted the Sheriffs Department they came and took a statement and contacted him. Jimmy Trone/Primrose Construction Services arrived in a UHaul Truck and dumped these doors back off in my parking lot and they had a terrible paint job. They were received and horribly painted by him and then dumped off in my parking lot. I contacted the Sheriffs Department Again They took another statement and then it was passed on to a detective.
I later spoke to this detective and was told that my best bet would be small claims court. What a bunch of BS! I did my job and now my company is out the balance of some junk doors that were all special sizes and poorly painted. Welcome to the State of Florida where awful trades people rip hardworking people off! Needless to say all special orders are full prepayment from this point forward and everyone can thank Jimmy Trone for that!
