PrimeTime Movers, LLC. Reviews

I used this company June 16, 2018. The movers were to come out to the home between 10-11am, and we didn’t hear from them so we called and left messages. Finally we got an email from the company and there appeared to be a phone number issue no worries.

The company agreed to come out to the old home, and they didn’t show up until 3 hours after 12:30. The move was underway and we realized that we couldn’t talk to the movers moving the items due to language barrier they spoke Russian, they were nice but not good that didn’t understand us. There was an third agent that came with them and he sat in the truck the whole time. The agent collected the money at the beginning of the move that we agreed to for $650. At the end of the transaction and ready to go to the new location the agent came up to us and told us that we needed an additional 1212.

00, and we we’re floored. We didn’t have any actual furniture, tables, just two bedrooms, and they asked for 1200 more to move the items.. The company didn’t pack for us, so we didn’t understand. We stated that we were not paying the costs of this, and the agent then told us that they could unload the items but this was going to cost us $347.00, + $95.00 for the labor. This is absurd! Finally we agreed to go and get the money orders in which all they would accept to unload the items. The agent then claimed that he talked to his Boss and that they could deliver the items for $750

Due to we were without a lot of options and needed to be out of our current home, we paid these amounts. The agents then came to the new residence which is only about 1.5 away, and they claimed that if we help bring in the items they could setup the beds etc. Two of us assisted the movers moving are on items, only to be told by the driver that they ran out of time, and they were throwing boxes into the garage and they left.

This company is closed on the weekend so we couldn’t call anyone. We attempted to call the offices on Monday 06/18, and we left 5-6 messages and they have failed to return any calls at all. We will be filing a lawsuit, and also contacted the CFPB about scamming customers, and being unresponsive.

Let this be a warning, this company is a complete scam, unprofessional, and dangerous. The ineptitude and disrespect I experienced was an experience that I wouldn't wish for anybody. I was so upset when this happened, and after when I looked online, I saw a similar account of Primetime Movers' extortion a month before. Read this and DON'T HIRE them, save yourself a lot of money and headache. I hired PRIMETIME MOVERS LLC 1025 E Hallandale Beach Blvd HALLANDALE BEACH FL 33009 Phone: 800-891-8678 Fax: 954 416 6173 to move my bedroom, living room, and dining room furniture. I made my reservation with Jorge Navarro 754-226-6105 Moving Coordinator who offered me a special of $795 for my move from Miami to Gainesville. I paid him a $250 credit deposit. The day of the move, 3 Russian speaking men arrived late (Jorge told me 8 am, they arrived at 9:50).

The main man spoke fluent English, but seemed a bit disoriented but I didn't think anything of it at first. When we got to the apartment he made me give him the rest of the money $545 in cash, which I handed over. Immediately after he then told me that the 250 i had paid with credit didn't go through so he needed another 250 in cash on the spot. I checked my credit card and the charge had gone through already (two months prior when I had reserved). When I told him this he said no it didn't, something about a separate credit company would be cancelling it. I called Jorge on the spot asking what was going on and he said that actually the 250 deposit was refunded the day before a move (since I was moving on Monday, it would have to be day of and give it some time to show up since nothing would go on on a Sunday). I was still naive enough to believe this and we forked over another 250 in cash.

At this point we had given him 795 total, plus a 250 charge on credit that already cleared. I wish I had seen how stupid I was to keep going along at this point. At this time the larger Russian man asked to use the bathroom while I had been checking my credit statements, and he was in there for 20 minutes at least. We were concerned he had collapsed or something had happened but when we knocked several times he stated he was fine and when he finally did come out, his words were rapid and slurred and he seemed extremely agitated. Hindsight is 20/20, he was most likely doing illicit drugs in the bathroom. Then he stated he wanted to go over the entire contract, at which time (like the prior account on this site noted) he came up with a list of an exorbitant number of expenses totaling nearly 3000 dollars. We were shocked by how much extra packing, materials, and "long distance" fees amounted to. When I asked him for an a concrete, formal receipt with all the necessary extra charges, he ripped a piece of paper off a sheet and just wrote random numbers and used his fingers to sum the hours of labor. We were all skeptical at this point.

When we refused to continue through and demanded back our 545 dollars, he refused and stated this was part of the deposit, although nowhere on the contract does it state "deposit". We still demanded our money back and he hurriedly walked to the elevator and down to receiving where the truck was. When we got to the receiving area, the truck was already halfway out of the receiving area, exiting the building. Then the bigger man he says he'll ask his manager if we can do a flat rate for the day with decreased extra fees. He gets off the phone and says total is 1600 (like he's doing us a favor), and the caveat is we have to pay IN CASH immediately once the truck is packed at the pickup location. Not even upon arrival at our new address.

At this point we had had enough, and refused and again demanded our money back. He again refused and rushed his men back into the truck. Even the maintenance men at my condo building tried to intervene and help us, to which the man in charge snarkily and unprofessionally questioned, "What are you, a lawyer?" and drove away. I called Jorge immediately afterwards, at which he asked if he could make up the experience by sending a new crew. Absolutely not I said, not after the rip-off experience we had had mere hours before. I said I would be considering formal litigation efforts and report them to the Better Business Bureau, to which he said, "Well they're under investigation anyways for taking bribes, but you have a right to do that". He completely ignored my request for refund of 545, and said he would just "look into it and get back to you" repeatedly. At this point I was at a loss for words, and was told by the police that this was a civil matter. This was a COMPLETE and utter SCAM. Be warned. I had booked this before the other scam report had been written, and I only wish somebody had told me to beware. If it sounds like too good of a deal it probably it is. I tried calling Jorge back a few hours later with my phone and another friend's phone, and every time it didn't even ring and was forwarded to voicemail. If that doesn't scream "I'm guilty", I don't know what does. I will be reporting this to the Florida Office of Attorney General, rest assured. But save yourself the grief, money, and filing of a lawsuit- choose someone else to hire.

*SCAM ARTISTS* These guys showed up late, demanded Full payment up front ($1200), then called me after my things were on the truck and they were on the road asking for another $3000 up front because the truck was "over weight” and then they would need another $1300 to unload the truck at my new home. We called the police because they were extorting us. After we convinced them to come back to my house, they gave us a "discount” and knocked off $1000 for the total move. We asked them to unload the truck at our current home and we would hire reputable movers who honored their estimates and didn’t use these tactics to extort their customers. When they unloaded the truck they basically threw our things off the truck. It was a very expensive lesson to learn but we will never do business with them again. STAY AWAY. 5 Star Reviews are all fake!!!

Primetime movers llc of hollandale beach quoted us $800.00 - for an all inclusive local move. They were very specific on the phone that there were no additioal fees we had packed everything and it was only a 10 mile local house move.

When the movers - 3 x russians, claiming to be polish arrived, they asked for half the money in cash. We paid $400 and they asked my wife to sign the moving contract. It all looked fine as we had agreed with michael The moving co-ordinator) to the fee. They loaded up all our furniture and we paid the remaining $400.00. They drove off "to get lunch" on route to our new home. After they left and were out of sight, paul - the driver, the only one who spoke english called and informed us we had to pay an additional $3888.00 - the balance as he called it for "additional services". If we didn't pay they would charge even more for storage. We called their company - which we have since found out is not registered in the state of florida - and were informed "it was all in the contract" - which is bogus. If we didn't pay we wouldn't get our furniture returned. So a typical extortion scam.

We went to the bank to get the cash - they only wanted cash or money orders To leave no paper trail). Our bank manager warned us to call the police as this is a well known scam. A local sheriff's deputy came with us to deliver the money. Paul showed us but wouldn't hand over an invice until we paid him.

They quickly unloaded our furniture into our garage and left. Not moving anything into the house or upstatirs as per the "agreement". They then gave me a copy of the agreement and left as quickly as possible. The contract had all sorts of additiional bogus charges to total the $3888.00 - such as "moving upstairs $450.00 - they didn't move anything upstairs, "16 x mattress covers at $450.00" when only one was used and we were told by michael it was "all inclusive" with no additional fees. "fuel surcharge" - $75.00 when we only moved 10 miles.Etc. So in total we paid $4688.00 for a move that should have cost $800 - $1000.

Keep away from these scam artists. They only exist on the internet. They are not a regsitered florida corporation, there address is a mail drop, they are fraudsters who will say anything upfronts to earn your trust then hi-jack your furniture and exort cash from you, and lie even in front of a sheriffs deputy. We only found out most of this after they left when comparing the "contract" with their emailed quote which dodn't include any "additional fees". We also saw too late for us a similar report on yscam for the same company and moving crew.

This company packed my belongings to move me to orlando. I paid them $715 plus $50 tip for their lunch in cash. They never arrived and are now holding my belongings ransom for $9000 cash, their reason? the cost of bubble wrap (obviously made from diamonds who knew?). They have been calling me offering discounts to $7000 and threatening to charge me storage fees and change of delivery fees as well as threatening to sell my stuff in 2 weeks. They say that I signed for the 9k, which i didn't unless they forged my name.

I have a copy of what I signed that shows the original amount I agreed to pay and paid exactly that. I have called the sheriff's office and have now retained a lawyer to take this to court and will be calling the press on monday. They will keep doing this as most people can't hire a lawyer or invest what it takes to fight them. Stay away from this mover unless you enjoy being extorted.

Read about another ripoff about this same company in fort myers, an hour before they arrived that occurred on 4-17-18 i had contracted for three workers to work a minimum 3 hours. Two workers showed up instead. When i physically signed the same contract i had digitally signed online i pointed this out. He, david, said they would adjust the total in my favor. I was contracted to pay for 3 people $115 per hour for their labor of unpacking my pod and of repacking it with my personal items for a minumum of 3 hours. Stressed with david i will not need his bubble wrap for prepping, and i had ample blankets to protect my belongings. Showed him a stack he could work with, if he felt the need. They scarcely used them if at all. Learned by asking that the two of them are from the ukrane. The other Yscam from 4-17-18 in fort myers mentioned the two who worked at the victim's home were from russia.

In his situation they attemped to charge him $1000 extra for bubble wrap, is why i made it clear 1) no bubble wrap and 2) it was a hint to them i was on to their scheme. The day went on while one worker, david, did the most critical work with the dolly, the other person merely assisted, to lift and support. I also assisted by taking the small stuff into the house from the pod, steadying big items from wobbling off the dolly. This assistant to david, spent quite a bit of time texting on his phone, complaining he had to dolly over small tree roots, and having to negotiate my front porch steps, 5 shallow steps that with mike the moving specialist i had discussed on arriving at a price. I told both this was my arrangement with the home office. That shut the helper up. He also attempted to tell me one cabinet was especially heavy, but again i cited the contract included it. Then it came to the refrigerator that i also listed, would not go through the entrance of the kitchen without taking the handles off. They both stopped saying it was a $75 handling fee to do this. I came up withe the extra $75, but when 4 hours of work was done they told me the charge would be $595 plus $75, because their fee for 2 people is $100 an hour plus $75 truck driving cost, plus tax, and extra handling for the refrigerator. I had to remind that my contract was with 3 workers for min. 3 hours is worth 9 hours labor, not, the 8 they had done for me for a total of $395, including driving and tax, and in fact they owed me an hour more labor. The assistant became agitated st this saying he will call the cops,. To him i told him to proceed with the cops. He stalked away, and called me what sounded to me like a w**** in his own language, "putineska" Sic) to which i told him i certainly was not a w**** In english).

After carrying on, he asked me for his payment, and had to tell him i did not have that amount in cash to give him. They only accept money orders or cash, or certified checks. How is a person to do this without knowing how long it will take to do the task? Finally he accepted $475, but never did the task of taking off the handles of the refrigerator so we could place it into the kitchen. I noticed the plug was damaged as well. Their last effort of loading the pod was slap dash, leaving us only 2/3rds full. I counted myself lucky to be rid of them, but unlike the other victim, who hired the movers to haul his belongings to his new home, i was simply filling a pod. They did not have right to keep my belongings. Theough their control over my refrigerator, though they managed to gouge me. Very bad contract too.
