BEWARE OF PRIME STORAGE Prime Storage has been a terrible experience. I had S&E Mini Storage for 28 years. They were easy to deal with, and ALWAYS responded to complaints and concerns. They also had nice friendly employees, and even a clean rest room. Now it is a disgusting pigsty. Three years ago, Prime Storage bought S&E. With S&E I always paid in advance at the current monthly rate. With Prime Storage I paid for a year in advance and they charged me the following year's proposed, forthcoming rate. If this wasn't illegal, it was certainly unethical.
Although they sent a letter stating they had a grievance policy they refused to address my legitimate complaint. The person in charge even started yelling at me over the telephone. Every six months they would send me a letter stating they would need the same proof of insurance. I wouid have to spend my time contacting Travelers to get them to send the same information. I would call Prime and ask them to have the courtesy to contact me upon receipt from Travelers.
They said they would but never did. Instead, I would get a letter from Prime saying I needed additional insurance from Prime. Over and over again, every six months I would to go through this. Pitiful customer service! There is NO customer service. They even have their dumpster locked up so customers cannot dispose of anything. Use another storage facility that actually cares about their clients.
They are stealing my tools.do not bring ur stuff there if its gonna be long term rent s van bring it to a facillity in pa its an 8th of the price dont get trapped go to a more respectable place.also i had a verbal agreement with the manager to pay off my .balance from the pandemic .although i have them money the entire tine but not the full amount.,after making 2 months payments .pluss alittle extra still with no job from the virus .also added extra .a few hours after i made my payment .they sent an email saying there cutting my lock and selling my sruff and my wife died at 39 years old i believe some of her belongings are in there .there just being low lifes .do ur self a favor go elswhere
Was hung up on and mistreated after a week and 2 separate intentional attempts at price hikes from Internet quote/lock/reservations. They intentionally misled falsely & advertised even with written emailed quotes then "without a single disclaimer" wiggled out of the legally obligated price and senior citizen discounts with lame excuses that apparently don't exist. On the 2nd try I went directly to thier website and "carefully read fine print" where in addition to the "exact emailed quote to the penny with taxes" there is not a single mention of a $15 lock in fee nor a quote of a dime in Administration fees. At the minimum it's easily false advertising if not intentional theft by deception. Not only did they do this one but TWICE over a week and the 2nd time was over a ridiculous $3 even though I had a reservation sent to my email the very night before at 10:34pm when they were closed yet somehow when they opened the next day they expected me to pay A HIGHER RATE!!
Furthermore the call center is the shadiest place I've ever spoken to.. 3 different people won't even give me the ACTUAL corporate mailing address or ANYONEs last name, any supervisor name or even a public company phone number?? It's actually scary places like this take your FULL name, address and more but then say this.. SMH Then when I complained for a corporate boss the 20 something phone girl says the 30 something "acting Manager" who just commited fraud doesn't want my business so there is nothing to discuss with corporate, like huh?!! Cybil I wouldn't use you at this point if it was FREE for a year and you paid me.. you showed you are untrustworthy & sketchy people! I guess I dodged a bullet if I actually had took the unit as they are all unbelievable, morally bankrupt people who hopefully will be fined!!
