BEWARE!! This "company" is a con artist. My story starts on November 5, 2018 at 9:00am when I purchased a bumper for $660 + $150 shipping. The website states all bumpers ship with a flat rate of $150 and they ship within 5-10 business days. I was patient as I wasn't in a hurry, but when I hadn't received so much as a tracking number by the 27th, I called. Now when you call, 9 out of 10x you'll get voicemail, so I left a message asking for clarification on shipment. Lily called back seemingly very apologetic and and stated somehow it was overlooked and it would be shipping out the next day. I was fine with this.
Fast forward to the 4th of December, and I still hadn't received the bumper OR tracking, so I called back and left another message. I waited 24 hours and didn't get a response, so I called yet again and finally got Lily on the phone. It was at this point she informed me they still had the bumper and couldn't find cost effective shipping to get it from Chicago to NY.
Wait what?? Isn't this the backbone of your entire business?? Don't you do this day in and day out?? If that truly was the case, why wasn't I informed on the 28th, or 29th, or 30th... or any day prior to me having to call back and back again after another week had passed?
It was at this time that I said, let me find my own shipping and I'll send you the labels. I spent some time on this and came up with FedEx freight for $266. I told Lily that if she would comp $100 off of the $660 bumper and refund my $150 flat rate, I would purchase the shipping and send her labels. I was hit with a firm NO. They'd rather put the bumper that they've already supposedly sanded and primed and packed and boxed back on the shelf, than take $560 and have a happy customer with a bumper in route! I was told that rather than budge a dollar on price, they'd rather refund me the entire $810.
After over a month of waiting and being kept in the dark and them not being able to meet their own shipping promises, I accepted that a full refund would be the only solution. The refund was supposed to be processed on the 5th of December which should take about 3 business days. Lily said she was sending proof of refund, which she NEVER did. It is now the 12th and NO refund has been processed and Prestige stopped taking my calls and has not responded to the voicemail I left days ago asking for proof of refund! I have now been forced to waste even more of my time filing a dispute with my credit card company!
As of today, I have no bumper, no refund and no communication from the company. Interestingly enough, their website was just updated stating they'll "no longer be accepting credit cards, only money orders or Chase quickpay". I'm guessing this is to give future customers that they plan to SCREW OVER little or no recourse! What an absolute SCAM!
