My husband passed away august 28,2014, my husband was a collector of movie props and costumes, a few months after he died I was in contact with Premiere Props to auction my husband's items, auction was held on december 6,2014 and I made $31,755.00 then another auction was held on march 28,2015 and I made $3,000.00, I haven't received money from Premiere Props from neither of these auctions. the contract says 90 days well its been way over 90 days, the persons in-charge and head of Premiere Props is dan levin, and the other person is Dawn Rapp. they will not return calls or emails, if you do a google search on them you will see MANY complaints from MANY websites, This company is owned by dan levin and he is one of the biggest con guys there are, as I said just do a google search on dan levin & premiere props and see all the complaints from people that he has cheated, They sold my husband's original Forbidden Planet costume and many other items and has not paid us a penny,
Hello, premiere Props riped me off for $2,600. I consigned an original Rifle used in the 1949 film The Sands of Iwa Jima which was valued at $2,000 and a replica necklace that was made by the jeweler who created the original necklaces for the Twilight film, but my necklace was just out of the original mold. The necklace was valued at $600.
They had the rifle and necklace for over a year and finally they said they sold both in one of there weekly auctions. These Items sold june of 2016 and now has been 7 months and no payment received! they said I should get payment in December of 2016 but nothing. Dan Levin kep making excuses that the accounting department would have to send me a statement for my items but they never did. I just got an email out of the blue saying my Items sold for $2,600 but once excuse after another.
Contact started in late 2014. Eventually a contract was sent to me, reviewed and numerious calls made to clarify contractual terms. Props were packaged and sent. Premiere recieved and verified via UPS tracking. The auction took place and props were sold. This was personally watched as the auction was live. After first items were confirmed sold and the contracted 90 passed in receiving, payment had yet to be obtained. Here it is now 01-11-2016 and any payment or communication has been received. After numerous phone calls and e-mails, which I still possess. Finally a call was recieved and was told "check is in the mail". After 4 weeks the "check" was never received. Once again a call and e-mail was made. I later revieved an e-mail stating the check had been cashed. Once again calls and e-mails were sent only to get a copy of a cancelled check made out to me but not my signature on the check. Once a call and e-mail was made and I was told it is up to me to settle with Chase Bank in the form of a check fraud. I personally went to the CHASE Main office here in Michigan where I was told that it was not me that was defrauded, insted the Premiere Props accounts payable Dept. was the victim. Also the “check” never left California. I once again contacted Premiere Props who i n turn ignored my claim. I than contacted El Segundo Police explaining the situation. The Sgt. of Detectives sent a Detective to Premiere Props and spoke face to face with Dan Levin who said he, Dan, would rectify the situation. Since than numerous calls and e-mails were sent to no avail. I than contacted the F.B.I. "fraud activities" and am waiting for further instructions. This is not the first complaint BBB has received in regard to Premiere Props. It is quite obvious this company is completely illegitimate and enough patrons have suffered from their fraudulent activities. At what point does enough become enough to aggressively confront Premiere Props and bring to justice their practices?
Just like many other people who have been ripped off by Daniel Charles Levin and anyone at Premiere Props, I am also a victim. These people are clever criminals. When they wanted me to consign memorabilia with them they could not stop emailing me. Surprisingly, once the items sold and payment was due their contact ceased. The only contact I received was the report stating what my items sold for which was $1,550. This was back in May/June. Since then they blank all my emails and their phone number doesn't work. I don't know what else to do. [email protected] Just as another report filed against them on here stated, "these crooks sweet talk you into sending your items to be placed in thier Hollwood auctions, then they sell your stuff, but then they do not send you your money. " This is exactly what they do. They have no intention to pay. This has been 7 months now and not a single dime had been received.
