I financed a vehicle, 2012 Lincoln MKX, with this company on 3/31/22. The odometer reading was listed as 129,951. They were supposed to fix the sunroof and provided that in writing and never did. I also purchased a warranty in the amount of $2000 through the financing company, Westlake Financial, called Secure 1 for 12 months or 12000 miles. I took the car back to dealer several times because the vehicle was running hot while still under warranty. They kept the vehicle for three weeks. Upon picking up vehicle, John the manager told me it needed a new water pump. I was advised to take to mechanic of my choice because "their mechanics are not certified" as per John. I took it to Kams Auto Center in Acworth, GA approximately 2 months ago. Kams Auto Center stated the vehicle needed a new engine that would cost $7500.00. I notified my warranty company all of these details. Now two months later, Premier Auto Center refuses to help me and warranty company state warranty is expired because the vehicle is past the mileage. This is not true. I have been without this vehicle for two months and the entire cost to fix the vehicle has been denied. They have ultimately been not honest to say the least. They never fixed the sunroof as promised. I've made dozens of attempts to resolve this and have received the run around. I met with the owner yesterday who indicated it would be handled asap and nothing is being done. If they couldn't fix the water pump, why did it take three weeks to tell me this is unknown. I have had issues with this car from the start. I purchased the warranty and now am being denied. The only thing that they are doing is demanding there $400 monthly car payment that has been non driveable for months and still currently sitting in parking lot at Kams Auto Center in Acworth, GA. I question the validity of the odometer reading at time of purchase (129,951). I did some research via the car's VIN # (2LMDJ8JK2CBL04074) and the records are very questionable. I don't believe the odometer reading at time of purchase was accurate and I was deceived. This business is very questionable and I have been a victim to it's deceptive practices. It appears they may be altering the odometer readings or records in some fashion, in my opinion. I just want a vehicle so I can stay afloat and go to work to provide for my family.
***I filed complaints with the news as well as the Georgia Consumer Protection Division and am contacting other bureaus as well. They are not BBB accredited but for anyone else in same situation there are other sites to try to seek help.
I haven’t been to work in 3 months because of this issue and would like to avoid financial devastation.
