Preferred Guest Resorts, LLC. Reviews
I was working as a live operator selling "As Seen on TV" products and had to push the 'affinities' at the end of each purchase. We were required to read verbatim all the script for these add on sales, this one I had memorized by heart, and even printed the script, so when I talked to the folks I had the deal. I knew it said, FREE, I had read it to customers probably 500 times. This one was a phone transfer to a live agent who took the call and did the selling. I decided to be a customer and purchased a product that had one of these add on scripts for the free vacation at the famous Disney Resorts. I was switched over to Best Vacations Ever.
The first sales person I got couldn't tell that I was switched over for a promotion. She started selling me a 5 day florida vacation (accomodation only) for over $600, I balked and she gave me to the Sales Manager, and then it went down to $500, and $400, and ended up at $250. I was told I had 30 days to cancel, and I had 18 months to take the trip and even then it sounded like they were flexible, so I put it on my Visa.
A couple days went by, I didn't get anything in the mail, I didn't have any 'receipt' for this FREE vacation, so I called, and told them that I think I was scammed and that something that is FREE should be free, this time they offered me 2 disney tickets and refunded $150. So now FREE was $100. I told them to give me someting in writing, they told me it was all online, and gave me the website; bestvacationsever.com. I finally got registered and got my letter in Jan 2013, a receipt for my money and a written statement that I had the nights in Orlando, 2 park tickets and the small print which I read quickly and it seemed okay but that small print was the first time I heard anything about sitting in on a 90 presentation, I don't usually do those because I don't qualify (income, age, or certain type of credit cards)
I also found later, that the small print, stated in two different ways how long I have to use this vacation. I calculated my take it by date (18 months from purchase date). Well I called about 4 months before 18 months was up, and they said "No, you have to use it within 12 months, and complete the trip within 6 months after that". Now WHAT does that mean? And why couldn't someone just tell me the truth up front, that I had to call in and set the date within 12 months, and that I had to actually take the trip within 6 months after that?
I have to say this, if I buy something the money I gave them doesn't expire within a certain amount of time, neither should my trip. There should be Truth in Selling and Disclosure and Plain Language. I'm going to contact the State of Florida and complain about Preferred Guest Resorts, who is registered with the state of Florida as a Seller of Travel, Registration No. ST37842, for taking my money and not honoring its verbal agreements then wording the details in manner that is not Plain Language.
This group of scam artists uses an autodialer, and the Caller IDs (phone numbers) they call from are all listed as Disconnected. I finally got a number for these guys, and found that they change company names every few months, and list them under fictitious owners, etc. They call and will say almost anything they need to get a credit card number out of you, as the story will change once they have your information. Beware! Hotels will market for themselves, or work with the other known names, not these predators. Do not even give them a chance to convince you, as they are very good at what they do, to be convincing.
I called to get a refund after noticing BAD information all over the internet of them, they advised me it is not true they are very well known and over 100,000 people use their services every year They owe me $451.00 and are refusing to give it back stating that I had 30 days. I did call in those 30 days and they told me to give it a "try" now after hearing about a family friends horrible experience with them and how they lied to me about the cost I want my money back. They told me i had 30 days and that was in the terms and agreement which i was NOT told over the phone during the sale, nor did i recieve a paper copy which i called about and they claimed they sent it twice. A person cannot agree to the terms and agreement if they are not given them to read.
I bought this dream vacation in November 2013 and told the sales person that I cannot go on the vacation in 2013.Was told that I have 18 months to travel.
I wanted to book the first break away in March 2014, only to learn that the fees for the trip to Costa Rica will be $300 and then I wondered if this would be the fees for all the trips that I bought, 6 in total.
I knew that I could not use this vacation package and called the customer services today. I spoke to Tony who told me that I cannot cancell anymore because of their 30 day cancell policy.
My point is this, if they told me the fees would be for that amount then I would have cancelled before the 30 days ending. Some of the other fees are actually $251 for myself and my husband. The company did not give me all the details of the fees upfront and in my mind a fee is about $50 and not $500. I dont have anybody that can take this over and would prefer to have my money back.
I now saw on the internet that they scammed other people too and it is so sad that you first have to check the internet out before you can do bussiness with anybody.
Please stop this company in ripping of the consumer.
Answered a ringing phone in the office and was offered a great vacation deal. After trying to decline several times Jennifer kept on saying what is your concern about this promotion. I let her know that I personally would not do it and that maybe someone else in the office might want to. Jennifer asked me to hold and then someone else got on the phone and after telling this person that I personally would not do it. I was asked the same thing about what concerns did I have. I stated that I would not do it. The caller then got an attitude with me and said well sorry we can't help you today, but we will keep you in mind for the future. By the sound of her voice I could tell that she was not a happy camper about me saying no.
I was ripped off by Preferred Guest Resorts! It started out that I received a phone call saying that I had won a prize (a $500 gift card to Best Buy) I was very excited because I needed a new computer monitor to replace the half pixilated one I currently possessed. I was just happy with that. Then the conversation turned into a sales call about vacation stay that I also “qualified for” this is where a flag was raised in my mind. I expressed my questions and concerns however, the gentleman I was speaking to seemed to have all the answers and correct professional verbiage to delude my negative thinking.
This is what I was promised: $3,000 credit toward the purchase of a $3,898 holiday package that includes: 5 nights at a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel in Orlando, Florida. 3 nights in Daytona Beach, Florida. A 1 week Alamo car rental. A 3-night stay in the Bahamas, and a 4-night stay in Costa Rica....plus a $40 dinner gift certificate. This package is valued at over $3,898, but when you apply the $3,000 the cost is only $898 - less than $60 per day, not including the car rental and dinner certificates was what was promised. They had me even speak to their "legal department" (after I asked to verify the product/services I was purchasing) again, the woman representing this company sounded ligament!
I waited and waited for this postal-mail packet of information to arrive. After not receiving anything other than more promotional e-mails flooding my inbox, I have tried calling multiple numbers to ask when my information will arrive. I inquired about my purchased details. 1-800-656-2780. Also the consumer assurance line 1-888-261-8543, No one could give an answer. Kenneth Branch was the person I was referred to, even then I wasn’t given an entire number. (1-800-551964) ext: 335. Preferred Guests Resorts (PGR) entire company is a scam. I feel very sick to my stomach that I spent almost all of my Christmas money, set aside for family gifts, on this prize package. I even used two separate cards, splitting the purchase, to be able to afford this package. “it was a limited time offer, I couldn’t expect the same deal the next day because it expired at midnight for this incredible sale/deal” The sales people had a luring deception saying "this holiday package would make the best Christmas gifts for your love ones" they stated that the purchaser may transfer any of the prizes into a guests name as long as there was a two week notice before the trip. Preferred guest resorts had all the 'right' answers to my questions and concern. This would have been a fantastic deal and travel package if there would have been any follow through. The most heartbreaking part of this scam that impacted me the most, (besides the loss of almost $1,000) was that I promised my siblings, parents, and friends that they would get to go on these vacations with me, that was their Christmas present. (I have had to change my e-mail address, and close bank accounts, getting new debit card as well, in fear fraud do to Preferred Guest Resorts LLC). I am still extremely upset that there has been no resolution to this issue. Preferred Guest Resorts lied and deceived me. I now have nothing to show for the scam of my hard earned money.
On Facebook I think it was, enter comp to win $3.000 holiday in USA, hotel was in close travel to Disney Land, 5nights 6 days plus 5 day free car hire, plus 4 nights 5 days in the Bahamas, being an Aussie the state name meant nothing ,they were going to send details via email
so I foolishly never wrote down many details except the names of the folk I spoke to they cleared out my account, left me nothing.
I am an aged pensioner.

BEWARE! Free prize holiday SCAM on internet.
If you get a message saying you've won a great holiday prize, best to ignore it.
I fell for this scam. It's cost me money, I've had to close my bank account and I could be in for further trouble including further deception on their behalf, e-mail hastle and accounts created in my name.
Preferred Guest Resorts are not legitimate, they promise much but fail to deliver once they have your cash.
The information provided on line was professional and glamorous. Please IGNORE it!
I received sparce phone calls from this company about a vacation I had scheduled. I believed it to be complete bogus since at the time my children had just been murdered and I could not nor wanted any Bremuda Resort. When I finally realized they somehow actually had my personal information, I told them it had to be fraud. They told me with no apparent understanding that it was my loss and my only option is to request to be off the calling list, where they call to attempt to get additional money. They gave me no address, location or confirmation information. The customer representative, named Mark" just continued to tell me there was nothing I could do after they charged 598 dollars to my credit card. He asked me why didn't I notice at the time the amount on my credit card. Barried three small children. Shame on them.
