Con Artists

I went through the same thing as the others on here. I ordered a camera and then got an e mail to call and confirm my order. They tell me that the one I ordered is an international version. So he talks me into ordering the US version for a lot more money and extra for a battery and a charger. I specifically ask him if it is a new camera and he tells me yes. So, I figure it is a good deal, although I find it odd that a new camera wouldn't come with a battery. I receive the camera and discover it is a refurbished camera and lens. I cancelled the payment with my credit card after they wouldn't answer my call. I finally get ahold of them and the guy on the phone yells at me and insists that it is a new camera. Not until I describe exactly what makes it refurbished (the two small dots engraved into both sides of the serial number) does he believe me. I the tell him that I just want to return the camera and he offers to exchange it for the right one or it will cost a restocking fee of 20% to return it. That's $100!!! I refuse to pay for their mistake and he starts yelling at me. When I tell him that I already cancelled my payment he yells at me and tells me to let the credit card company deal with it then and hangs up on me! These people are scam artists!!

Thank You, Thank You!

Thank you for this information, I was about to order a Canon SLR from these crooks. Their prices are just too low to be legitimate.

These people are complete con artists. I ordered a camera and they then called me to say they didn't have the one I wanted and changed the order. They then lied to me and said I needed to buy a battery because the battery was not included. They then charged my credit card $50 more then the price on the website. Do not consider buying anything from these con artists.

I ordered a camera from them on Cyber Monday. It was a great price. Later that day I called them to ensure the order was received and shipping would happen. The man said Oh i was just about to call you to let you know the color you ordered is out of stock, but we have another color. I told him that is fine. The man that answered tried to sell me additional items like a rechargeable battery, as soon as I said no he got extremely short with me. I asked him when will I know the item will ship. The man said 24-48 hours. This all happened on 11/28. I called back on 12/2 after receiving no correspondence about shipping. The man that answered said oh your order will ship on 12/18 and will take 7-10 days to get to you, so it will not be there for christmas. I said when were you planning on telling me this. He said we were going to email you today. I said so how do I get a guarantee that my order will ship on 12/18. He said there are no guarantees. I said what is the point of advertising you have a product and taking my credit card information if you do not plan on sending me the product. He said you know what sir you just sound stupid now. I said again, do I have a guarantee it will ship on 12/18. He said no, I will guarantee you this, your order is cancelled have a nice day. Unfortunately, after I ordered from them I read several scam alerts that followed my same story. They basically offer the lowest price to sell you additional items, and if you don't buy anything additional you wont ever get your product, because they can't afford the price they are offering. They need to be shut down. http://powersellerdigital.com/

I purched a Nikon L840 for my daughter from this company on crazy sale for Christmas... $169.99. In EVERY listing for this camera it shows 4 AA batteries. This company when I called after receiving no confirmation informed me that I needed to purchase special batteries for eith 2hr or 7 hr. Furious about the bind I agreed to purchase the battery for $30. VERY NEXT DAY after being told it was also backordered until 12/15, and " your account will not be charged until we have the item in hand" I wake up to $260 charge to my account! I called yet again and was informed that the battery needed a charger that was an additional charge so they thew that on. I cancelled my order at that point... it costs less in retail! I was informed a refund would be sent Friday... that is today... no sign of anything coming and no email showing it was sent. This company is absolute garbage and I am highly annoyed that I didn't see these scam reports prior to purchase.

Luckily I was able to order a Canon refurbished through Canon site for a crazy good deal (shipped same day... free... $149 + tax) for a better camera. I also tried another company Malibu Camera before Canon with the same bait & switch action. Disgusting... absolutely deplorable.

I received 4 or 5 emails in a row from Jerry at PSD to call them immediatley. When I did he unapologetically told me the camera I ordered 5 days prior was not in stock. I received confirmation and tracking info immediatley after I placed order.

It took me hours to find the camera I wanted so I was upset that they took my order. He rudely said "oh well, we dont' have it now. Oversold. We have a different model we can sell you". I said I wasn't interested in a different model I want the one I ordered and asked that he transfer me to his manager. He said he didn't have a manager - that he was the manager. When I asked for his boss he hung up.

I called back and another rude man answered. He was an a*s clown. Telling me they don't have manager's and he heard the conversation and they don't want me as a customer?! I said cancel my order and refund my money. He hung up. Next thing I know I received an email that they cancelled the order without any mention of refund.

I'm working with my bank now.

I ordered a Nikon D90 from them and should have realized that something was wrong when my card was not immediately charged. I get and email asking me to call them to "confirm the order" which made me suspicious becuase I have been through this before with the clowns at East Coast TV. I reply confirming the order and then they called me shortly thereafter to tell me that the D90 they have is a discontinued model and is broken and it's "the last one we have" and that the D90 has actually been discontnued and replaced with the D7100.

Knowing this was a bait and switch I told them to cancel the order and hung up.

They still appear in Google shopping advertising a Nikon D90 today. Pathetic stuff.

This website is a classic bait and switch; they list super low prices so they beat out all other Google search results. Once you buy from them they want to get you on the phone so they can upsell you on BS accessories. 1/10 would not use again.

I searched on Google Shopping for an Olympus TG-4 camera I wanted to buy. PowerSellerDigital.com appeared to have the lowest price by about $50. I ordered the camera and got a confirmation email that they were processing my order but did not actually list the billed amount; this should have been my first red flag.

A day later I got a call saying they needed to confirm the 3 digits on the back of my card...I was sure I entered them correctly, but okay. This was my second red flag.

Then I had this conversation:

Seller "Oh, before you go, what kind of battery did you want with that camera?"

Me "What do you mean what kind of battery? I ordered this camera new in the box and you are telling me that the camera doesn't come with a battery?"

Seller "Yeah, did you want the 2-hour or the 7-hour battery?"

Me "Again, you are saying that this NEW IN THE BOX CAMERA does not come with a battery?"

Seller "That's right"

The next couple minutes were spent with him telling me how I wasn't doing him a favor by buying from him but that I needed to pick out a battery. He told me that it was such a small order that it wasn't a big deal and he would cancel the order if I wanted. I cancelled the order but will be watching my credit card statement for any weird charges.

Seen other reports like this. Your order a camera from the company because you like the price, then you receive an email stating to call "bruce" to confirm your order. When you call them they state the camera you bought is not the one you need for the US market and they try to sell you a different one (to a much higher price). When you tell them to just send you the camera to the price you bought it because you know (which they obviously do not) that canon cameras are made the same no matter where made (warranty might differ) they cancel the order on you and hang up the phone. Websites like these should be removed from the internet immediately.

I thought I found a great deal with that company on Cyber Monday.

- Canon EOS 80D, around $900 plus free case, instead of $1,200 normally.

After I placed my order, no email confirmation, even though it did say an email confirmation will be sent at the time of checkout.

3 days later I received an email asking me to call back their customer service at extension 1 to talk to Bruce.

Customer service was absolutely horrendous. In a very rude tone, Bruce said my order was cancelled. I asked why, he said the phone number I've provided was not valid, so they had to cancel the order. No notice whatsoever until the email to call them back! I complained that they should let the customer know first before cancelling, this could have been resolved very easily. He kept repeating, my order got cancelled, and finally hung up on me, a total a$$hole! I don't even think they have the product in stock, since he wasn't even proposing to place the same order again.

Do not order from them!

P.S. Fortunately my credit card was not charged

I encountered the same bait-and-switch operation as others. After placing my order for a Nikon camera body online, I received an email from "Bruce" asking that I call to confirm my order. After being on hold about 5 minutes, Bruce came on the line and confirmed my order and address. He then asked, "What kind of battery do you want, 3 hr or 5 hr--you didn't indicate on your order." I told him whatever came with it and advised that there was no option to select a battery when I ordered. He muttered something about pop-ups being blocked, and then continued his pitch. When I said that the battery is normally considered a part of the camera body, Bruce said, "Who offers that? Your local camera shop? Not at this price!" As I tried to explain, he talked over me and then loudly exclaimed, "Let me finish!" After saying that I would need to buy the battery separately, I told him that I didn't like the way he was speaking to me and I would just cancel my order. "Fine, I don't like the way you're speaking to me, either!" I was never rude or loud with him. What a jerk. Don't waste your time with these people.

DISHONEST AND MISLEADING - STAY AWAY!!!!!

I ordered a new camera from PowerSellerDigital.com and I also received an email the next day from Jerry asking me to call to confirm my order. He stated that he does not have the color I ordered so I accepted the color that was available. He told me that the camera does not have any batteries so I needed to order. He asked me if I wanted the two hours or seven hours battery. The seven hours batteries were more expensive but I opted for that. When I received the camera, there were 4AA batteries in the package. I inspected the serial number and there were dots on both end which tells me that it is refurbished. I noticed that my bill was higher than expected. I called and spoke with Tet and he explained that the 4AA Ultra High Capacity Batteries package cost $65.00. The battery pack has 4 batteries and a charger. Although it is one sealed pack with batteries and charger, he separated the items from the pack and advised me that the batteries cost $35.00 and the charger in the same pack cost $30.00. (Total $65.00). I went on Amazon and the pack cost $21.00. He was very unprofessional and showed no respect. I told him that I would like to return the battery pack and he stated that I have to return the camera as well. Although I have been scammed, this report will let others know how this company scam their customers. I will never buy from PowerSellerDigital again since they are not honest. They lower the price of the camera and then call customers to scam them into buying their expensive battery pack.

I ordered a camera from these people.I got a call later in the day telling me that they were out of the model and also that I needed to buy a battery for the camera. He then asked if I wanted a 2hour or a 7hour battery. The man then advised me that a 2 hour was 29 dollars more and a 7 hour was 39 dollars more.

I then went back to look at the info on the camera and there on the info about the camera it says that the camera uses 4 double a batteries. Now I know something is not right.

I called the store back and tell him that I don't want the batteries .He then got mad and rude,he tells me my order is cancelled, that he doesn't have time to be running around with me.

I,m ok with him cancelling the order ,but now he has my info and credit card number, that is what worries me.

I was shopping around for a Canon 70d and came to http://powersellerdigital.com. Their price was about $150 cheaper than I had seen anywhere else online. I wasn't exactly sure why it was so much cheaper bein that on their website nothing was marked differently than other sites. I purchased it and then got an email the next day saying I need to call in to confirm my order. This was my first red flag being that I buy online a lot and am never prompted to call and confirm. So I called in and was transferred to "Bruce" the guy who was "handling" my account. I give him my order number and he tells me first thing " the camera you ordered isn't the camera you want. You ordered the import model not the USA model." Apparently the import model lacks "key features". So I asked him why when I purchased it why the item wasn't marked as import or different. He told me nothing said it was the USA model as well. Then without any further explanation he told me my order was cancelled. I told him I didn't ask to have it canceled and he just said that it didn't matter. That he had the right to cancel it and he did. He also said that he didn't care if he had my business or the business of anyone else I know. All of this was said while he was yelling at me. Make no mistake these guys are con artist. You purchase one thing from their sight and then over the phone they try to mark up their original price or sell you something different. No money was lost on my end but I can with full coincidence say that no one should ever consider doing business with these people for any reason. Total con artist and very rude to consumers.

I've been searching the internet for weeks for the best price on an expensive camera for my fiance. Power seller digital seemed to have the best price, with free shipping and no tax I decided to order from them. Also had a free camera case bundle. Put my order through, and next day I get an e-mail from "Jerry" saying I need to call and confirm my order. I speak to him, and this is when he informs me that my $500 camera does not come with a battery, and I have to pay an additional $60-70 for one, also baits me into buying a memory card that "I need for such a high speed camera" for another $30 (oh but its an $80 valued card so he's giving me a deal). I look online after, all other vendors sell the same camera with a battery, and the memory card he sold me I can get for less than $20 on amazon. I e-mail to cancel, no response. So I call, am on hold for a long time, he finally picks up an is extremely rude and cuts me off and hangs up on me. I'm still waiting on a confirmation from them that the order has been canceled. Do not buy from them, run the other way!!!

I was searching for a new camera on the internet, I wanted a new black or silver camera for my husband for christmas gift. the price advertised for a Canon SX720 as well as on checkout was $249. no taxes were mentioned since this was out of state, nothing unusual.

powersellerdigital had a good price. they offered 2 colors, black or red. I added black to the cart and proceeded to checkout.

about a day later someone from powersellerdigital called and said they noticed i didnt buy an accesory battery pack. they offered 2, I believe one for $39.99 and one for $69.99 for a longer life battery. I thought it was a good idea and told them the longer life battery was ok to add to my purchase.

when I recieved my package they had substituted to me a RED camera, not what I bought. also included in my camera appeared to be the battery that comes with the standard new camera set up ( I looked online this battery is what is offered when you buy this new camera), not an extra battery, just a standard battery you would expect in a standard new camera, the box even had a battery section that it was sitting in along w. the charger.

the invoice attached was not itemized, but the bill came to $338.00 so now $89.95 over the price which was paying for the standard battery that is included in a new camera. Also on the invoice was a whole bunch of disclaimers not mentioned prior to purchasing.

"we do not under any circumstances specify colors of items being purchased, if we do not have a specific color we will ship out the same model camera. alternate color", then why did they let me choose black? shouldnt they say, if this color is not available we will ship you any color?

also mentioned in their invoice many disclaimers was that they have a strict 15% MINUMUM restocking fee so that's $50 if I return that's just lost money.

I called them today to complain that they switched my color after I ordered black with no mention or warning that I will get whatever color they ship and pretty much they said it's stated on their website. if it's there not easy to find and the customer should see it on the listing so they know what they are buying.

I told them because I ordered black and they shipped red I wanted a full refund and was not responsible for the 15% restocking fee as there was no clear warning on the listing and during the checkout process about switching the colors to any color before you complete the sale. i would have never bought a red camera for my husband.

I called them and the person on the phone in their customer service was rude, unprofessional and totally not willing to acknowledge this bait and switch, not to mention the $70 I paid just to get the standard battery that shouldve come with a new camera! I mean who sells a brand new camera in a box without all the standard parts? if that was what they were selling they should inform the customer that is not a complete box, and it's missing a part, no battery!

After dealing with this person on the phone trying to just get a full refund, they said they would issue and RA to me only if I paid the 15% restocking fee and the shipping cost to return it. I refused.

Since this was their fault that I didnt get the camera color I ordered, I refused to pay the 15% ($50) out of principal and the guy said that was their firm policy and pretty much I could take it or leave it and he wasnt going to make it right. He didnt care that I felt this was bait and switch and got taken on the battery and color.

I feel I got ripped off and these people are getting away with it. They are dishonest and scammers and others should be warned these guys are and are really out to cheat people anyway they can at all costs.

They advertise a low price to get a customer, then later jack it up, and build all kinds of penalties in if you try to return! Bad business practices. Stay away and do not buy from this company.

I have put a stop payment on my credit card and they are taken care of this. So I would ask if you don't call or write "PowerSellerDigital" for 60 days until they resolve this matter. This is for everyone, so they know what they are up to and it is business fraud. I order a new Nikon D750 camera (Body Only) with a 5 years digital camera warranty for Nikon D750 camera and other items listed at the bottom of this page. When I received the shipment I open the box and I was disappointed and shaking my head.

I was supposed to get a Nikon D750, which I did, but with no Nikon smaller box. Box received is not the box you would have received from a real camera store. They put the camera into a larger box that was used for an D750 24-120 VR Kit and not a D750 box which is smaller. The smaller D750 box is missing and does not have the original Nikon registration and the one year warranty that comes with the camera.

The 5 year Digital Camera Warranty for Nikon D750 is missing and did not come in the box.

Without the original Nikon D750 registration and one year warranty you have no way of protecting yourself. And again, no 5 year warranty. The D750 camera could have come from somewhere else, but I don't know? You don't know where Nikon D750 came from. All the extra add on should have been a Nikon brand name, except for the memory cards.

Did not get the camera that I paid for but a camera that was put together in a fly my night operation. Now I paid $1,998.00 and then you take away $499.99 for the 5 year warranty, which I never got and you are left with $1,498.01. But the cost of the camera is $1,249.00. This is what gets me:"You will be returning everything with Retail packed camera" I wish they would have followed their own advice ”Retail packed camera” I wouldn’t be doing this here.

I was looking for a canon T6i for my sisiter. I found the Power Seller Digital, on google and the price was very attractive, more than 30% off the regular price.

I was wandering if the camera could be refurbished or another/worng model.

I call then and the guy was very rude, he said that the camera was sold out, even when the web site showing that it was in stock! I asked about that and the guy just hang up on me!!!

Very rude and not helpful, avoid it because it´s a trap.

I wanted to purchase a Canon Powershot SX60 camera. PowerSellerDigital.com had the best price. Several days after placing the order, I received an email asking me to call "Jerry" about the order. Jerry said that it was temporary out of stock. When I asked when it would be back in stock, they said tomorrow. I said fine. Jerry then told me that the camera did not come with a battery and that would be extra. I told him that I had purchased many Canon cameras in the past and they all came with batteries and battery charges. I said OK, but then I called Canon and they confirmed that all their cameras come with batteries but it is possible that a less reputable reseller could remove the batteries and sell them separately. I went on line and found that there are several similar complaints about PowerSellerDigital.com. I called back Jerry and asked to cancel my order and he agreed to do so without any complaints or hassles.

  • Aug 2, 2017

Bought an expensive DSLR camera this morning because of the cheaper price offered. Once I paid with my credit card, I expected a Bill of Sale with the description of the item I bought and its shipping terms (you know, like a normal legitimate store would send these days). Instead, I got an email with an order number, showing my name, address, and phone. No confirmation of what I had paid with and/or for. There's an "Important Information" that says the order "does not constitute a final offer or contract. All orders are subject to management review and approval. If there is a pricing error, or the order is found to be invalid due to any reason, the order is subject to cancellation by management." -- What planet did I just buy from? They took my payment information and then basically told me it's up to them if they want to sell me anything. They're d**n right, it's not an offer or a contract, it's a Receipt, aka Bill of Sale! This receipt means nothing!

Then I found this site with multiple recent complaints on them. (And, yes, feeling like an idiot for having gotten so used to safe transactions online that I did not research this one first). All stories share the same theme: Customer called to check on their order... representative told them they ordered the wrong thing or that it's the foreign version, and the US one doesn't come with nearly as many options. Then they'd try to upsell them. (By this point, I knew I've been had, and feeling like a curious idiot). So I called to see if I would get the same BS.

Sure enough: Got a recorded greeting with choices. Chose customer service and got "How may I help you?". Told him I wanted to check on my order, so he passed me onto a second guy, again, "How may I help you?". I described my order, and the guy told me I had ordered the version that's available in the Asian market only. And that the one I really need to order comes with a lens and a different price. I asked why this was not explicitly mentioned on the ad, and the guy said it was. Another BS. Even if you look at the ad now, there's no distinction made that it's for Asian markets only. Worse, there's a tab way down the page for Specifications, and when you click on it, you find out it's a fake tab (doesn't do anything). I asked twice if the order was canceled, and they said yes. I said thanks, hung up, and quickly dialed my credit card company to kill the card. Lesson learned.

All personnel at this site had an Asian accent, most likely from Singapore/Hong Kong. I know because I've traveled to those places extensively.

This ecommerce site was intentionally put up to deceive, thus making it Fraudulent. These guys need to be reported, stopped, and jailed. They're a bunch of con artists. I am submitting this complaint to the FBI as well.

I ordered a new digital camera from these people because they were advertising the camera @$129.00 with free shipping and bonus materials like a free case and tripod and lens cleaning kit for free. well i thought that was a good deal. well i ordered the camera and patiently waited. i then received an e-mail stating that i neede to contact the company and ask for JERRY EXT. #1 to confirm my order. I should have listened to my instincts and not called because i have been ordering things off the web for years and i had never had a company ask me to call and confirm my order?? very suspicious!!

i called and spoke to JERRY he said that the reason they wanted me to call was because the camera was on back order and wanted to know if i would mind waiting a couple of days. well i wasnt i a real big hurry so i said no. 2 days later my order arrived and i opened the box. The camera will not even turn on and an ownres manual was not in the box. i also didnt not recieve the lens cleaning kit. and the last and worst thing was that i was charged $198.00 dollars not the $129.00 that was advertised. As another complaint from another unfortunate customer, this company is a pure bait and switch crooked company and should be investigated by the STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL. I will attempt to return the item next week since they are closed friday, sat, sun. wish me well CAVEAT EMPTOR. stay away from this company they are crooks!!

  • Jul 13, 2017

I'm rarely inspired to create an account to complain about a company, but this company deserves the extra effort. Like another complaint I saw on this site, my experience was EXACTLY the same. I bought a Canon point-and-shoot camera from their website and received an email confirmation with an order number. The item on their site had an offering for a free additional package of accessories like a small camera bag, etc, which I accepted. Nowhere on their site did they state that this camera did not come with the manufacturer-included battery!

I soon started getting emails from "Jerry" who was "personally" going to handle my order and wanted me to call to confirm the order. This was strange, as I already had a confirmation number. I called after 7 pm and got a message that they were closed with no option to leave a voicemail. I replied to Jerry via email and explained that I wasn't able to reach him by phone and I had a confirmation number, so I wasn't sure what was left to confirm, but he should contact me via email with any questions. I then received daily copies of the original email asking me to call to confirm my order and no reply to my response. When I finally had a chance to call 6 days later during their business hours, I was told that they didn't process my order since they needed the 3 digit code on the back of my credit card (I'm sure it was entered if they asked for it, and I'm certain it was just an excuse not to fulfill my order without a phone call). I was also told that my camera did not come with a battery and was asked which battery I wanted to purchase. When I complained that it was not stated that the camera didn't come with a battery and that I'd never purchased a point-and-shoot camera that didn't automatically come with one, the man was very rude, point-blank told me this one didn't (as if I were silly to have assumed that it would), and said "Do you want the camera or not?" I said I'd call back then looked online for the same camera from other companies including Canon, all of whom sold the camera with the battery. I even called another online retailer who thought I was crazy for even asking if they sold this camera with a battery included.

When I called back Power Digital Seller to cancel my order, the guy who answered the phone asked me my order number and immediately cut me off to transfer me to someone else before even letting me speak. I waited forever and then was disconnected. I called back again, same problem. And again, same problem. When I finally was transferred to someone who answered the phone and explained I was calling about my order, he also didn't let me speak before putting me on hold then told me my camera was no longer available (like I would even consider giving this company my money at this point). I've never delt with such an unprofessional and manipulative business that used low online prices to try to sell you a standard electronic device piecemeal. Absolutely do not buy from this company.

These people are more crooked than a barrel of snakes. My sister ordered a Lumix camera from them for me at what seemed to be a good price. When I called them to check the status of the order. I was told that the camera I ordered does not come with anything and then I was given options to purchase a battery and memory card for it. I was then told that I was getting the international version of the camera I ordered and if I wanted the US version I would have to pay more. I was further informed that I would get my camera in four weeks. However, when I checked their site again it showed the same advertisement for the same camera IN STOCK and $10 less. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. No where in their add for the camera does it state that it is an international version. The icing on the cake was the nasty attitude the rep for this company had the whole time I was on the telephone with him.

I am cancelling this order as soon as possible and notifying AMEX of what happend with these people. If they charge me a penny, I will notify the New York State Attorney General, Postmaster General, District Attorney where they are located, and any and all agencies that will put a stop to organizations that operate in this manner. DO NOT EVEN ORDER A CABLE FROM THEM!

I purchased what was suppose to be a new Nikon 2000D. When it arrived it was not packaged as a nikon should pe packed and there was no Nikon Warrenty. I called and they assured me it was a new camera. They sent me a generic warrenty. My husband bought me a new lense and when I tried to take a picture no pictures would record on the camera. I called and they gave me an address to return the camera. I packed it and mailed it to the address they provided. I decided I should notify my credit card company because I had a very bad taste in my mouth. The camera was mailed priority mail on 4/25 and insured to the address they provided. The camer was returned today 6/17/17 with return to sended not with undeliverable or no such address. This is a very nasty company and is not a legitament honest camers dealer.

I bought a Canon camera on PowerSellerDigital online in mid-May. In addition to the camera, the website announced a "Memorial Day" sale where certain other items came with it. I decided to use this seller because the Canon camera price was $100 less than the price advertised on other websites. I called and was told by some man that there would be a small charge for a battery. HE focused on the larger battery and I thought he was saying that the additional charge was for an additional battery. I declined the additional battery. Later, I went to my emails and couldn't find a receipt. Later, I went through ALL my emails and saw an email from a seller with a name such as "DigitalSeller" or something like that. It charged me $100 more than what I thought I was buying. At first I thought it was a mistake since I made no purchase through DigitalSeller (or whatever its name was). But apparently, PowerSellerDigital uses multiple names and addresses. DO NOT USE THIS SELLER. When I called for a $100 refund he became belligerent. I will be pursuing this through the courts if necessary, because a person like this man should be shut down.

This company is a complete rip-off that sells you cameras that are refurbished. They are not NEW like they tell you.... The head of customer service Lucas called me a sensitive a little girl and hung up on me. Funny if he knew who I really was he would not be calling me that. These people are thieves and scammers.

  • Feb 17, 2017

I had a similare experience too previous reviewers. I was forwarned but thought I'd give thema try anyway. Got the 'Jerry' email and phone number. Called the next day and they wanted so sell me batteries and accessories I did not want. Jerry then told me my camera item was 'back ordered and will ship tomorrow'. OK.

I got a 2nd email the next day with 'error in billing address'. Called Jerry again and was told it was OK. When I asked about the 'back order' he said it was now back ordered till next week. At that point I figured best to get out of this deal.

I started to say so and Jerry very quickly jumped in and said 'your order is cancelled, your order is cancelled'. When I pressed him a little further to confirm this he repeated it but gave no confirmation number or anything and hung up.

I have checked my credit card transactions daily since and there have been no charges whatsoever. Beware of these guys. The are 'too good to be true'.

As mentioned by others, this company emails you upon checkout to call them to complete your order. When you reach them, a salesperson tells you that "cameras no longer come with batteries and a charger, you have to buy those separately... would you like the regular or extended-life (2 vs 7 hrs) version?" I dismissed this and they told me I'm all set. [A quick search found that the cameras do include a battery and extra batteries cost half as much as PSD offered.] Then nothing happened for 2 weeks so I called and they said my camera just came in that morning and they are shipping it out. I had selected the free shipping option so it did arrive via UPS several days later. However, an extra $27 was added to the final bill with no explanation. So I called them and let them know I reviewed my screen shots that showed the asking price was $299 when I placed my order. The salesperson says it was clearly stated that a "handling fee and insurance" fee will be added depending upon where the order is being shipped. He agreed to send me the link to this policy since I clearly did not see it and still do not see it when I replicate my order on their website.

Power sellers Camera, adverstised the Nikon P900 for 514.00. Then they caled and said I needed to pay for Handling and Insurance, and Battery and Battery Charger. It came in a white box without a Nikon factory packaging. They called me when they received my order and it was going to be $614.00 instead of $514.00. It looks like some garage dealer. Not very solid. Do not use this company.

Ordered a digital camera form these folks. Hadn't received any tracking information a couple days later so i performed an search on google to find their site and ba bam! several of the top results were from Outscams. Waited another day for tracking info, still nothing so i called.

A gentleman identifying himself as "bruce" checked the status of my order and procceded to go down the same road as others had reported. He informaed me that i of course was going to need to order a battery etc. In order to be able to operate the new camera. Upon questioning him on why a battery was not included, he said that "had i purchaed a retail camera package the battery would have been included". I immediately requested that he cancel my order. He obliged. To his credit, i did receive an email within minutes stating that my order had in fact been canceled.

  • Dec 20, 2016

I ordered a camera the week of December 11th. I was hesitant as the camera was sold out in most other places, but I ordered it, fingers crossed.

A week later I get an email asking me to call to "confirm my order." Strange.

They acted like the security code on my credit card was incorrect. I knew he was lying. After giving it to him again, he stated rudely that I now have to pay for 3 day shipping. I refused having ordered the camera in plenty of time before Christmas. He said it was simple, pay the shipping fee or I won't get my camera.

I cancelled my order and he rudely said I wouldn't be charged and hung up on me.

Having researched them now (too late) I see they are a BS company with a decent website. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! IT IS A SCAM. I will be promptly calling my bank to change my card number as well.

  • Dec 20, 2016

I placed an order on line for a Canon T6i with an 18-135mm lens. I received an email to contact Powersellerdigital to confirm the order. When I talked with "Bruce" about the order he stated that I had ordered an "international" version and it would not come with a battery or charger. If I wanted those items I would have to order a US model at a higher price.

I agreed to a US model in order to get the battery. Bruce stated that I for an even higher price, he could provide a "high capacity 5 hour battery". I again agreed.

When I received the camera, it came in a Kit box designed for a T6i body with a 18-55mm lens, and the standard battery that comes with that kit. The 18-135 lens came in a plain white box with no paperwork. I beleive it was a refurbished lens as theere was not even the Canon Warranty card.

I sent Bruce an email to discuss the issue with no response. I called and talked with "Jonathan" who stated he was the Customer Service Manager about the issue. Jonathan could not have been any more rude. He stated that he buys packaes and then breaks them abart and resales different packages to meet customer desires. These new packages are NOT ANY cost savings. I would have spent less money buyin a pre-packaged T6i with an 18-135mm lens from almost anywere, than what I ended up paying Powersellerdigital.

The "high capacity 5 hour battery" that I paid extra for is included as the standard battery in EVERY T6i package that comes with a battery...again I paid more for what I would have gotten included by default if I just orfdered it from someone else.

When I told Jonathan, the Customer Service manager that I wanted to send it all back because I was completely dissatified with their servce, he said it would be a 15% restocking fee. Of course there would be because it would mean more money for them. He told me flat out that he was making money off me and "go ahead and make your reviews".

Jonathan and Bruce, which I am positive are not their names, were extremly rude, not interested in customer satisfaction and flat out only interested in upselling. They have no concern about customer satisfaction or having a return customer... which I will never be.

I would recommend buying from ANYPLACE before buying from Powersellerdigital. They fullfilled the order, yes, but their service is an absolute and complete rip-off and will try to make as much maney from a one time customer as they can. STAY AWAY.

  • Dec 20, 2016

I was shopping around for a Nikon 7200 and came to http://powersellerdigital.com. Their price was about $250 cheaper than I had seen anywhere else online. I wasn't exactly sure why it was so much cheaper being that on their website nothing was marked differently than other sites. I purchased it and then got an email the next day saying I need to call in to confirm my order. This was my first red flag being that I buy online a lot and am never prompted to call and confirm. So I called multiple times and never got a person to respond.

I sent an email and finally was called by "Bruce", the guy who was "handling" my account. I give him my order number and the first thing he asks me, "have you bought a DSLR before". I asked him how that was relevant. he says "if I had I would know". I told him that there was nothing "on the website to indicate that there was anything wrong".

He then says "the camera you ordered is an international model not the USA model." Apparently the import model lacks "key features". So I asked him why when I purchased it why the item wasn't marked as international model and nothing said it was the USA model. He said that I could have it but I could not use it unless I knew Chinese. So he offered me the supposedly the US model at a much higher price. I told him that he was doing a bait and switch.

Then without any further explanation he told me my order was cancelled. I told him I didn't ask to have it canceled and he just said that it didn't matter. That he had the right to cancel it and he did. He also said that he didn't care if he had my business or the business of anyone else I know and cursed at me. All of this was said while he was yelling at me. Make no mistake these guys are con artists. You purchase one thing from their sight and then over the phone they try to mark up their original price or sell you something different- bait and switch.

No money was lost on my end but I can with full coincidence say that no one should ever consider doing business with these people for any reason. Total con artist and very rude to consumers.

Same as above

Same scam...

  • Dec 19, 2016

Waste of your precious time. Saw the their deals then I decided to give them a call to see if I would get the camera before Christmas with their free shipping. Customer service (rudely) said no, and that I would have to purchase their 3 day shipping in order to get in time. I said fine, placed the order on Friday. I got an email Sunday morning. They still needed to process my order and that I had to call "Bruce" since he was taking care of my order personally. I call right away and he tells me that the camera I want, it's international, comes in a white box and the camera doesn't come in English (What?). He said that I should buy their US version with a lens that would cost me about $700 more than my original order. I told him that I would call him back. Did a 10 min research on a canon camera that doesn’t come with English, which is non-existent. So I call him back and said it’s fine I will still take the international model to which he says “Well sure, it’s going to take 2 weeks, because its coming from overseas” at this point I decided to see how much BS he could fling.

I asked him you don’t keep this in stock? Why don’t you guys advertise that on your site? and I said well should I cancel my order? He replies “It has been already cancelled since you ordered the international model” I said well that’s BS – He rudely says “you can keep looking online for other deals” and hangs up.

Don’t buy from these guys, they are trying to upsell you like there’s no tomorrow. Their site should be shut down. It haunts me that everyone that has gone through this; they took our personal and credit card information.

  • Dec 18, 2016

Stay clear of this company. I had a similar experience as another customer. I placed an order for a camera that was listed $100 less than all the competition and received a call the next day to "confirm" my order. At the end of the call the salesman said "oh... I see you didn't order a battery for the camera, would you like to get the 3-hour or 7-hour one?" I asked him what does he mean, an extra battery? the camera should come with the battery. He told me no it doesn't, it's just the camera.

Stunned a bit I continued to question him saying that's not possible, every camera comes with a battery even if it's a basic one to make it operate, it's part of the packaging. He got rude right away saying "should I tell you again? it doesn't come with a battery, how many times do you want me to say it". He said the battery was an additional $79. I said again, that makes no sense that it doesn't come with a battery, I've bought many cameras my entire life and never got one that didn't include the battery, and it doesn't say anywhere on the website battery not included. He actually said "really your entire life" and "why do you keep asking the same question". I said that's false advertising and is that how they justify the low price by removing the battery that comes standard in the package from Canon and sell it separately (I'm sure the charger is sold separately too, I just didn't get to that point to ask.)

We ended the call by him saying I could do some research and call back to confirm the order.

Everywhere I looked, the Canon point-and-shoot camera I was looking for came standard in the box with a battery and charger. NO WHERE ELSE, ANYWHERE are thay sold without the battery and charger. The camera won't work without it.

I called back and cancelled the order.

These people are rude and arrogant and the company uses deceptive practices to lure customers into purchases.

BEWARE & STEAR CLEAR FROM PowerSellerDigital.com !!

  • Dec 17, 2016

Don't need to go in to all the details. They are the same as everyone else wrote. Ordered camera as i seamed like a good deal. They ask you to call them to verify order and ask if you want a battery and charger as camera does not come with one. That's should be your first warning right there.

When i got the camera it was just wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in e regular box. It is a refurbished camera not a new one. You try to return it and they just give you the run around so you can never send it back. Do not buy from them!

  • Dec 16, 2016

I too encountered this scam. I bought my son the Nikon L840 in black. Ben sent me an email to call and confirm my order. When I called I was then told that it was not in stock and that it would be 8 weeks or more but if I would take red then they would send it. I accepted. Then I was also told that I didn't choose my battery which they charged me another $45 on top. I waited for over 2 weeks and didn't receive it, so I called and was informed that they were out of stock and that it would be mid january. I cancelled! WHAT A SCAM!

  • Dec 14, 2016

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE - COMPLETE SCAM

I ordered a Nikon D5300 camera from this company. Seemed like a really good - about $150 less than others out there. Too damn good to be true. When I called about the shipping, the rep. Bruce then told me I ordered the import model not the USA model." Apparently the import model lacks "key features", options, cables ..etc. So I asked him why when I purchased it why the item wasn't marked as import, different or a stripped down model. Without any further explanation he told me my order was cancelled. I told him I didn't ask to have it canceled and he just said that it didn't matter. That he had the right to cancel it and he did. He also said that he didn't care if he had my business or the business of anyone else I know. All of this was said while he was yelling at me. Then abruptly hung up on me. Make no mistake these guys are con artists. I called back and asked to speak with the manager, who preceded to tell me that Bruce would never treat customers that way. He then told me that they did not have to tell their customers if features were missing from a model, or where it was from, that they should know that with the cheaper price, they would get a stripped down feature - or imported model. I'm beyond shocked at this shady business practice. It's a scam, and misleading. I wish I had searched their reviews before ordering. I would've seen that so many people had the same issue with them. Please do not buy from them - complete scam.

I am going to Georgia this week to pay these guys a visit. This is a legal carry state so I am guessing they will provide the product for the advertised price :>)

I purchased a Nikon B500 and was e-mailed and called the next day to return their call to verify my order. I did that and they told me the camera does not come with batteries. I would need to purchase a 2 hour or seven hour battery. If you look up the camera anywhere else, the camera does come with 4 LR6/L40 AA alkaline batteries. The sales person got really defensive and insulting when i told him that information and refused to sell me the camera when I refused his offer. He told me that I will not be receiving anything and hung up. I have never had a conversation with any type of business that speaks to customers in that manner.

Thank you for the frank reviews

These reviews are EXCELLENT information. Thank you all. I had been looking for a Canon G1X, and saw their ad for a new copy for 350. This seemed a bit too good to be true, as the camera is no longer available from Canon (it has been replaced by the G1X MKII) and no retailers appear to have this camera in stock as new any longer. I was therefore looking for a used copy. It just seemed too easy to be able to find this at PowerSellerDigital as a new copy. I was just about to call them to check on the order but it just smelled fishy. I decided to check to see if there were any reviews on PowerSellerDigital and found this. Thank you all for your responses here. You helped keep one customer from potentially falling for their scams. I do hope that those who were taken by these crooks get their money back 100%. THANKS AGAIN!!!

I am not sure of where they are placed and i wished i had checked this website before ordering. They never sent a confirmation email about the order, i called and he said the order is placed. I never rec;d the order then i called and he kept interrupting over me that they cancelled, nothing will be charged nothing was sent, they dont have it in stock. And once i got upset about their service his words "so what is all that going to get you? We are not going to send you anything." so a in poor customer service, and f in commitment and scam.

BEWARE of "GRAY MARKET" cameras

I am a semi-pro photographer. and have shot Nikon and Canon most of my life. To all disleassed buyers, please, please beware and be aware of what you are buying. Any time you find a new camera from Nikon or Canon (and other top brands as well) offered at a price that is significantly below the discount offered from legitimate, well-established companies such as B&H, Adorama or 42nd St. Photo, it is undoubtedly a "gray market" product, which means in a nutshell that you cannot get OEM service or or even firmware updates in the US because it has not been imported into the US buy an authorized importer (such as Nikon, USA). Nikon tracks who they sell items to by serial number. The product is not cheaper or different, but there is no post-sale support and no warranty unless the importer/reseller offers one. To fully understand the pros and cons of gray market products and other information, I highly recommend this website: http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/gray-market.htm

Do your research, then spend your money. Gray market is not illegal, but unless you know what you are getting, you may well be in for an unpleasant

surprise at some point when you need service. There are third party repair shops that will service gray market items.

As for customer treatment, any business who screams and yells at customers, who engages in bait and switch, etc. is not ethical. Clearly an ethical, established vendor with a good reputation to protect and a long track record of competitive pricing, that offers tech support, personal service and cares about its reputation is a better choice and worth paying for in the long run.

I had purchased a nikon d750 on cyber monday because the price point was lower compared to the other companies. After purchase i realized i wanted a canon 80d because it was more suitable for what i am doing so i put my credit card on freeze. The next day i contacted the seller and told him my situation. After giving me his big speech about the extra accessories i will be receiving along with a 3 year warranty i decided to make a deal. The package took about 7 days. When i opened the package it was a canon 70d. Not only is it the wrong item but it is missing the 18-55mm lense which comes standard in the box. They only sent me the 18-135mm lens. I was also promised two 64bit cards and two batteries. Now this company has only been around for a few months. What good is a 3 year warranty if from what i am seeing is nothing but bad reviews. I paid $1649 for a 70d package which is missing items, when i could purchase a 80d package for $1400 from a legit website that gives full refund and no restocking fee. I have not called their customer service yet but i shall keep you updated. I contacted my credit card company so they can begin a further investigation. Why rip people off? Why not just be a legit company that offers an excellent product at a nice price point. I recommend not giving powersellerdigital.com your business.
