We ordered a carport in october from the powerbilt web site was quoted a price had to provide credit card info for deposit of 10 percent down to place order so 250.00 down the site and salesman said it would be 2 to 4 weeks after deposit was paid til the carport was delivered and installed from the factory. the credit card was charged on october 21st sales man sent email directing me to a very confusing link that I couldnt bring up to sign my online quote.then he emailed a different contract to sign and return to a different site, all the while saying it would be 2-4 weeks the week of november 25th I called back was directed to a different location, was told the installers were running 6 weeks behind schedule it would be the week before xmas if there was no snow on the ground, there wasnt ,I called back first of the year was told by an other sales person they couldnt find a contractor to come to this area it would now be spring , I called back and said I wished to cancel the order with the understanding that there was a 10percent of original deposit restocking fee even though i dont think this was my fault I shouldnt be charged the restocking fee I called credit card company to complain finally a person from powerbilt called me just to be rude and say that I was told in the beginning it would be a spring delivery and they had found someone to come out here next week to install I said I already made other plans and just wanted my deposit back the sales rep said they are fighting with the credit card company to not give any money back on the 250.00 deposit
This company purports to lease to own metal buildings with a contract through Eagle Carports. Initially it is represented with a deposit required that is applied to the Customer's chosen building. After securing the deposit the story changes in the way the contract is manipulated.
As it turns out the deposit is just free money paid to Powerbilt that does not accomplish anything toward receiving the building. Eagle Carports didn't even know what was going on with the deal. Powerbilt is a grifter that simply skims money under the guise of selling a building. They will not return a deposit as the SCAM is their cash flow.
I purchased a carport structure from this company on June 14, 2017 and to date August 21, 2017 I have yet to receive said structure. Dealing with this company and the company that they contractedto build the structure leaves me with nothing but pure frustration and disgust about how they are treating your customers. I have yet to have a schedule set up to deliver my structure after multiple cancellations on the company's behalf. Buyer Beware!! Go elsewhere!!!
